This is really short, I'm sorry >-< But it's also really cute I think uwu
Kakashi had been gone for a week and half now. He was on a mission with the new team 7 because Yamato had to take care of something else. From what exactly I didn't know, and if I was to ask it would probably be classified information anyway.
I would lie if I said that I didn't miss him. Whenever I thought about how long we had been together I couldn't help but widen my eyes. It just still felt as if we first kissed a month ago or so, but it wasn't. This means that we had had to go on different missions a lot of times. Most of them lasted a couple of days, and some others lasted between a week and two. But still, no matter how much time we had been together, I still kind of missed to be around him. I would even go far to say that the more time we were together, the more I'd miss his presence. But luckily I normally was assigned on missions or had other things to do while he was gone, so in the end, the time passed rather quickly. I just always hoped it went by quicker.
As of right now, because Kakashi was away I did some things for him. Things like going to the memorial and cleaning and changing the flowers of Obito, Rin and Sakumo's graves, like he always did whenevere he could. And then I'd also take care of Kakashi's hounds. This last task didn't require me to do it every day. The normal thing in fact would be to just take care of them twice a week or so. But I'm not gonna lie, I kind of loved Kakashi's dogs. They were all so cute with their happy tails and cute puppy eyes. Yes, most of them were not puppies, but to me they were, okay? So, having said that, instead of taking care of them twice a week I spent more time with them. And they seemed to enjoy it as much as me because they always seemed happy.
"Babe I'm home" I heard Kakashi's tired voice behind me.
I turned around and smiled at him, still petting Bisuke's soft fur. But Kakashi looked at me, arching his visible brow to me.
"What are you doing?" he asked me.
"I'm taking care of them, like you asked me to" I said, turning back to the dogs as they nuzzled against my body and ate all the treats I had given them.
"Yeah (Y/n). To make sure they had food and they weren't lazy. Not to bring them home and nurse them like babies" he said, letting go of a sigh. But I just smiled.
"C'mon, what's the harm?" I asked, rubbing Pakkun's belly as he drooled, making me smile.
"Yeah, Kakashi" Pakkun said with pleasure and a thin voice "What's the harm?" he giggled, making me giggle.
"You're always consenting them, (Y/n)" Kakashi said, taking off his jonin vest.
He was kind of right though. But how couldn't I?
"Because they look at me with their puppy eyes, and I can't resist"
Kakashi sighed again, pinching his nose through his mask.
"You know, I was hoping that after two weeks far from home I'd come back to my girlfriend happily waiting for me. Welcoming me with hugs and kisses. But instead she's too busy treating dogs?" he joked, but kind of in a serious tone. However, I still laughed "C'mon, let them go" he said, helping me up from the floor "And you" he now addressed to the pack of dogs that was standing up too "Stop taking advantage of her" he said with a stern tone.
"It wouldn't kill you to treat us a bit like she does, Kakashi" Pakkun said.
"She's too nice for her own good. Now go away, I'm tired" Kakashi said, turning around and dropping on the couch.
"Goodbye (Y/n), I hope we see each other again soon" the dogs said to me, and I smiled and waved goodbye to them before they poofed away.
Kakashi let go of another tired sigh when they disappear.
"If only you treated me half as good as you treat them..." he said in serious tone, but I knew him too well by now to know that under his mask he had a playful hidden smile.
I sat beside him on the couch, putting one hand over his chest as I looked up at him.
"C'mon, you know there's no one else in the world I love more than you" I said lowly with a smile, making his smile under his mask a bit more apparent as the mask tugged upward.
"I don't, actually" he said playfully, snaking his arm around my waist and looking down back at me.
I leaned up slightly, kissing him in between his jaw and neck, making his smile bigger while I draped my legs over his.
"How was the mission?" I asked him, leaning on his shoulder and hugging him tight.
"You know, just like always" he answered simply, relaxing on the couch with me.
"Are you too tired?"
His face turned to me while still leaning on the back of the sofa.
"A bit" he said softly, looking at my eyes intensely and maintaining his small smile that I knew he had because I had long pulled down his mask.
I moved my hand to his cheek, getting my fingers lost in his silky silver hair. Still to this day, I didn't know how he managed to have a hair this soft even when he couldn't even shower at home.
"Why don't we take a relaxing shower, and I help you release the stress and relax your muscles" I suggested, my eyes lingering to his lips curved in a smile while my hand went to his broad shoulder, already massaging them.
He smiled bigger and kissed me slowly while nodding on the kiss which made our lips brush against each other again.
"That's the type of welcome I was talking about" he smiled saying in a deep and low voice before standing up and carrying me up to the bedroom.
