18 : 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘍𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳

"Why did you kiss her?"

Jeongguk frowns at the voice, seemingly very familiar. He turns around to find his hyung standing tall with his arms crossed over his chest.

"What are you-", the younger starts only to lower his voice, afraid he'll wake the boy on the sofa, and possibly make him more ill.

He follows Yoongi as the latter points towards the room. When the door clicks close do they both exhale, they were holding their breath on the way to not make even the tiniest of noise.

"Why are you here?", Jeongguk straights out questions, not understanding the purpose of the man being in his house.

"And why were you kissing a girl?", The older retorts back, raising his eyebrow.

"How did you know?", his eyes widen, heart beat almost stopping at its pumping.

"Jeongguk, honestly tell me. What are you doing? I'm confused. Not two days ago, you called and told me how you felt about Taehyung so why are you doing this? Do you perhaps like someone else now?"

Jeonnguk sighs, making his way to his bed. He sits himself down on the edge of it, and brings his hands to rub at his face.

"It's all a misunderstanding. It's Aera, you know my ex. She has no idea that I'm married, so let's continue from there. She came to my office and I was glad to meet her after five years, we conversed and so on. I should've kept a limit but we exchanged couple of sly remarks. It didn't go further than that, so finally when she had to leave, I offered to drop her off and she possibly got the wrong message. She kissed me and I lost myself. I didn't kiss back or any sort of thing for fingers to point at me but I didn't pull away. Taehyung came seconds before she pulled away and bid a quick goodbye. She left so briskly just as Taehyung did. I couldn't catch up to both of them."

"Oh, Jeongguk. That was very idiotic of you. Aera, is your ex and you're married. It was already red flags for her to want to talk to you. Why are you so naive?", Yoongi comments, calmly.

"It's not my fault. She came and I had to have some talk with her.", Jeongguk retorts, not liking the way the blame was falling on him.

"So? You talk, that's the end of it. You flirted with her and even offered to drop her home, the cherry on top, you didn't even push her away.", the older states, sitting by the younger, whisper yelling close to his ear.

Jeongguk hisses in disgust as some of the spit of his hyung landed on his cheek.

"What about Taehyung?", the younger questions, turning to stare at his older.

"Seokjin and I planned to meet at the regualar club we go to. I arrived early and found Taehyung crying while drinking. I looked around to see if he's with someone but found no one. He was crying the whole ride chanting, 'jeongguk doesn't love me'. You really messed up."

Jeongguk gulps at the last sentence, his breath being taken out. He hates this, hates whatever this feeling is.

"I like him, a lot. I didn't want this happen. I really didn't.", the younger sighs out, staring at his lap, with tears welling up in his eyes.

He hates himself for hurting that precious soul.

"Then make it up. Talk to him. Explain your side and believe me, everything will come out fine.", Yoongi says, rubbing the other's back, soothingly. "Trust is the most fragile part of a relationship. The best relationships are based on trust. Make this impact your life."

Joengguk embraces the shorter male, with teary eyes. His friend was amazingly amazing.

"What would I do without you?", he asks, snuggling up more.

"Stop being cheesy and go aid Tae, he has high fever.", the older groans out, pretending to be annoyed by the other's hugs.

"Okay, grandpa.", the younger snickers as he leaves the room, towards his husband who was laying somewhere in the living room.

Yoongi walks out the room towards the main door to take his leave, he waves at the younger who sat by his husband. Jeongguk waved back, turning his gaze back to Taehyung after the older left.

Yoongi steps direct him to his car, as he grips his phone, one thought going around. He needs to call Jimin. Once he's in the safety of his car does he say,

"Now, let's see what Jimin is up to."
