When I woke up I saw that it was 4:30. Right on time I thought.

I made my way downstairs feeling better. I saw my mom in the kitchen making food.

"Hi mom."

She turned around and saw me. "Hello Malerie, how are you doing."

"I'm doing better, i felt like I never even fainted." I said thinking about earlier today.

"Well that's good" my mom said.
I sat down on the high chair next to the bar that uprises in the table.

"Yeah."

"So" I spoke up awkwardly "Can you go take me to try to get my drivers license?" I said.

"You made an appointment?" My mom said looking at me directly.
I laughed nervously "yeah" I breathed out.

"Honey your not in the condition to be taking your drivers test." She said sternly.

"But mom I've been trying to get my license since forever and if I keep on trying I know I can get it." I said determined.

"But Maler-"

"Mom" I said exasperated "Come on just give me a chance."

She thought for a moment. "Fine but If you faint or throw up or something don't say I didn't warn you."

"Thank you mom" I smiled.

"Mhmm" she said "Now come on help me with dinner."

"Oh no, the appointment is at 5:00."

She sighed as she looked at her watch. "Malerie there's no way I can leave the chicken that I already started cooking here alone, and you know that Ariana can't cook."

"Ugh you've got to be kidding me" I said.

"I'm sorry I just can't take you Malerie." She said "why don't you ask Valerie.

"Oh right" I said taking out my phone and texting Valerie if she can take me.

She responded a minute later saying that she was at her grandmas house with her family and there was no way her family would let her leave.

I sighed and told her it was okay.
"Valerie says she's doesn't have any chance to take me" I said out loud to my mom who was still cooking in front of me.

"Oh... why don't you try to ask Jessica." She said.

"Ugh, mom I really don't want to bump into Alex."

"Come on just tell her if she could take you really quick and Alex is probably not even there anymore."
I thought that for a moment and realized that that could happen.

"Alright" I said. "See you later mom."

"Bye Malerie. Good luck."

"Thanks" I said as I went upstairs to go get my flats and rushed my way downstairs to the door. I was welcomed by the chilly weather outside. It was early September so it was getting colder, but I don't mind. I love the feeling of freshness and the cool breeze hitting you.

As I was already entering the Pitch's driveway I pulled out my phone and saw that it was 4:35. I hurried and pushed the doorbell. A minute later I was greeted by Mrs. Pitch.

"Malerie! Are you feeling better? how are you?!" She said.

"Oh I'm fine. How are you Mrs. Pitch."

"Oh I'm doing fine." she said. "Come in."

I came in and followed Mrs. Pitch into the kitchen. My face dropped when I realized that she was cooking.
