After the bell rung, indicating that school as over, my heart jumped of happiness.
I actually made it through a day of school.
I was walking through the little pathway leading to school parking lot.
Since I still didn't have my car back. I would ride with Valerie to school and back with Valerie, in her car.
I looked around for Valerie's black SUV. We usually meet there everyday after school.
I started hearing footsteps behind me.
Then I heard the steps get closer behind me.
I came to conclusion that it was probably Valerie. I took a quick glance behind me and it wasn't Valerie.
It was Alex.
He was just looking at the back of me, like it was the most casual thing to do on this earth.
I stopped walking and turned around causing him to stop walking too, making us lock eyes.
"Let me guess, your doing your daily task of stalking me?" I asked teasing him.
He rolled his eyes.
"No. My mom told me to pick you up from school, so we can get this job thing over with."
"No, later." I said spinning my heels, turning around, starting to walk away.
Alex started to walk up next to me.
"Come on, I don't want to do this either but I'm not being a baby about it."I scrunched up my nose. "I'm not being a baby."
"Fine, don't come. It won't affect me anyways, but you. You just won't get your car back, while I get a job." He said walking past me.
I thought about me never getting my car back and it horrified me.
"No wait!" I said speed walking up to him.He chuckled clearly amused in this situation.
"Wait let me text Valerie that I'm gonna go with you." I grumbled last part.
"Who's her."
I gave him a look of confusion. Then I remembered that he's never met Valerie and that I was the one who told Valerie about Alex.
"My friend, do you wanna meet her."
"No, I'm good. She's probably just like you, and I don't need to meet another Malerie in my lifetime."
"Your such a grump. And no she's not like me she's way more of a rebellious bad ass."
"Then why would she hang out with you?" he looked genuinely confused.
I got a little offended. "I'm a bad ass!"
He scoffed. "okay." he said sarcastically.
"Do you remember those big pranks I pulled on you when we were kids! I was rebellious, even when my mom told me to stop I kept on going. You know why Alex?!" I said, pointing at him trying to make a point. "because I'm a true badass."
"Whatever, I pulled better pranks on you." He said still looking straight ahead, halfway ignoring me.
"You call pouring chocolate all over me bad. I was in heaven. Sure I was sticky, but I tasted good." I smiled remembering the chocolately heaven I was in."
"I did way better pranks than that. Don't act like you didn't cry when I put all of you're stuffed animals in the lake and you found them days later all wet and ruined." He said making eye contact.
