Today we practiced our roles more in acting class. I'm definitely more relaxed, I'm pretty sure I won't forget my lines. Sure I'm still shaky about the dancing but I have some confidence.
But all day today I kept repeating what happened yesterday, like a movie. And since Valerie didn't come to school today, I had no one to pour my thoughts on.
And I didn't get a chance to even speak a word to Alex, other than act with him in the front of class. And I obviously had no intention of having a conversation in front the class.
But I felt pretty awkward around Alex anyways. Because I actually cried in front of him. I mean legit cried.
Even though I trust him even more now, it's still pretty embarrassing.
But I really appreciate how I unjudgemental he was.I shook away the memories and realized I was staring at Valerie's house from my car.
Wow, Malerie way to go for being a creep.
I should really should just go talk to Valerie. I unlocked my phone and texted Valerie.
Me: "Hey are you at your house." I sent.
After about a minute I got a reply.
Valerie: "Yeah. I just looked out my window and saw your pink car. creep."I rolled my eyes.
Me: "I'm coming in."I got off my car and made my way towards Valerie's door. But before I arrived at the door, Valerie appeared in her black tank top, and red flannel pajama pants, yanking the door.
She made an obvious fake frown, balling her fist, shaking it in the air. "GET OFF MY LAWN YOU DIRTY HAG!!" she said making her expert old lady voice.
"Wow, what a great welcoming." I said sarcastically, finally reaching the door.
"You know it." she said, gesturing for me to enter. She shut the door and said. "So what brings you here. You rarely come anymore."
"Well I guess I've just been busy." I said, going into her room, plopping onto her bed. Valerie's house was one story. Her house was small, cozy, warm and welcoming. Something my house wasn't right now.
"Oh yeah, dancing, right." she said.
Frank cancelled today's dance session so I had this afternoon all to myself. Once I received the news, I mentally thanked frank, for not letting me have an extreme awkward situation with Alex."Yeah." I answered.
"How is it, have you gotten better?"
"I guess."
Valerie snorted. "I guess your dancing instructor is a real miracle worker, then."
I rolled my eyes. "I know right."
"So tell me about you, why didn't you come to school today. Don't tell you skipped. Because I had to eat lunch with Betty."
Valerie looked at me with pity.
Betty is a friend who comes and rarely eats lunch with us. She's really a nice person, but she's way more of a talker than a listener. If we start to say just a bit of a word she interrupts us, talking about another random story that lasts forever."Sorry. I just.." she sighed, trailing off.
"What?"
"Tristian.."
I rolled my eyes. "What did he do today?"
(A/N: Just in case you forgot, Tristian is Valerie's ex boyfriend who wants to win Valerie back, and always try's to talk to her. But Valerie try's her best to avoid him.)She sighed again. "He cornered me at Starbucks so I was forced to talk to him."
My eyes widened. "No."
