It was Friday. And I just came back from a exhausting day from work.
Not to mention that Alex wasn't even there because it was his day off. Which is extremely annoying because like me, he had yesterday off too.
Plus those annoying kids Alex mentioned about, annoyed me to no limits.
My point is that today was a pretty crappy day.I opened my front door and was welcomed into an empty house. Great, could this day get even better?
Please note the sarcasm.
I went to my room and plopped down on my bed, taking out my phone, that just happened to start ringing.
I saw the caller ID and saw Valerie's name. I tapped the green button and put my phone against my ear.
"Hello." I spoke into my phone.
"Hi."
"What's up?" I said leaning against on my bed.
"Well, I'm expecting you to say no but it's worth a try.." she rambled to herself. "You know Ryan Peter right? Well he's having a party and I don't want to go alone this time."
Ryan Peter was the captain of the football team and supposedly threw the best most biggest parties ever. And since Valerie's the boldest one of us she loves going to big parties.
Me? I don't think so."Can't Tristain go with you?"
"He's meeting me there."
"Then?"
"Then I want you to come with me."
"And be a third wheel? No thanks."
She sighed frustrated. "How come you always say that."
"How can I not?"
"Hey who knows, maybe you'll find Alex there."
I was about to say something when she stopped me.
"And don't act like you didn't tell me that you had a crush on him last night."
I rolled my eyes. It was true I did tell her last night. But right now I was wishing I didn't.
"That doesn't mean that I'll still go with you."
She sighed. "Fine."
I smirked at my accomplishment.
"Oh and Valerie please don't drink and drive." I said a bit concerned. She scoffed. "Don't worry about me I'll be fine."
"Okay but call me if you need anything."
"Yes mom."
I laughed and hung up saying bye.
As soon I hung up I pulled out a book but got interrupted by my phone ringing once again.
My eyes froze once I looked at the caller ID.
It was my dad.
My heart sped up as I tried to decide what to do. I was just so done with all this stress and drama with my parents.
I don't know if it was stupid idea doing what I was going to do next but it was too late.
I declined the call and called another number.
I heard the ringing of the phone as I was waiting for the phone to be picked up. I internally cursed myself for wanting to do this, but there was no stoping me.
"Hello." I heard the extremely familiar voice say on the other side of the phone.
"Valerie, I changed my mind."
