I approached the white intimidating door that now standed in front of me.

I gave my self a inner pep-talk as I brang my hand up in a fist, hitting my knuckles on the door. It was quiet for a few seconds, then I heard footsteps coming closer.

The door opened and I saw my moms face. "Oh hi Malerie, what brings you here?" she asked gesturing towards her room.

I forgot a little but then remembered why I was here, all nervous because I wanted to ask my mom to buy me a car. Why am I so nervous you ask?

Well I've always had a history of me feeling really guilty asking for expensive things, even when I know we're about in the middle class of money business or whatever I still feel bad. I guess because I've seen my mom at her worst.

When my dad left he didn't give us any more money. He left us on our own. My mom had nothing in her bank account (reasons I still don't know now) and she would get any job she could. She started at a restaurant, then with her college degree she started as a secretary and made her way up.
She now worked as a car dealer, 'the best in the business' apparently.

"I'm good." I said.

My mom nodded as an awkward silence came between us.

With all courage I spoke up. "um mom can I get a car."

She sighed "not this again Malerie."
We did already talk about this but we ended up in a argument.

"Ugh come on mom just hear me out. do you really not trust me for anything. Gosh I'm your oldest daughter I should be trusted."

"Malerie I just don't want you to get hurt, you should know that."

"Come on mom you can trust me, and if I do disappoint you can take the car away from me." I said half-heartedly.

She looked at me for a while and thought to herself.

After about a minute she finally spoke up.

"Fine if your so confident that I can trust you, I will."

My face morphed into grin. I did a fist pump and did a little dance and yelled. "YASSSSSSSS!!"

I stopped to look at my mom staring at me. Judging me with her judgemental mom eyes. I controlled my joy and said with a smile. "When am I gonna get the car."

She looked at the time and said. "Well this is my day-off. Get change and let's go, but hurry i'd like to relax the rest of the day."

"Kay" I said speed walking up to my room and getting changed.

When I finished I went to the foyer; to meet my mom with Ariana by her side.

"What! Ariana's coming." I said disappointed. I wanted this to be an opportunity to bond with my mom. I really do wish me and my mom could bind more but her work is always in the way.

"Yes I'm coming." Ariana replied with attitude.

I gave Ariana a glare.

"Girls." my mom sighed rubbing her temples. "don't get in a fight. Malerie, I told Ariana to come because Marie couldn't babysit her."

"Ughh" I complained.

"Come on let's just go." my said opening the door.

We walked out and Ariana was speed walking for the passenger seat.

"Oh no you don't." I said to myself.
I began to run. Ariana heard my feet stomping the ground, as I almost reached her. So she opened the car door as fast she could and threw herself in closing the door as I just arrived.
