Epilogue

"So what are you guys planning to do today?" Valerie asked, delicately painting one of her fingernails.

Today was the one year anniversary that me and Alex got together and we were still going strong; Which made me extremely happy.

I shrugged, grabbing the pink nail polish. "Alex said he wanted to plan it and make it surprise."

"Classic." Valerie chuckled.

"So how's college going?" I asked. Less than a year ago we all graduated high school, and I still couldn't get used to the idea.

"Its tolerable." Valerie decided to stay and find a college close to town; while me and Alex both thought it would be best to go to the next state over and find a nice college to go to. And luckily we did.

We came to visit once in while, like this week, it was winter break so we had the chance to come and visit.

"Find any cute guys?" I wiggled my eyebrows.

She scoffed. "Plenty. But there all jerks."

I opened the nail polish that I picked out. "You'll find one don't worry."

"The last thing that I need is another Tristain."

"True that." I sassed.

We laughed.

"So are you still on good terms with your mom?" Valerie asked.

"Yeah, things are great. Although I haven't talked to my dad in while. Considering he left to Seattle after a fail attempt to bond with me."

"Talk about a caring father." Valerie snorted.

"At least he tried, you know. We just didn't click." I defended.

She shrugged. "If you say so."

"Done." Valerie smirked closing up the nail polish, and stared at her freshly red painted nails.

"I'm almost done." I announced.

I heard a meow, and looked down to see Andres. Me and Alex's little baby. And by baby I meant cat.

Since me and Alex owned an apartment near our college I brought Andres to come and live with us. At first Alex immediately didn't want to be near him at all but eventually he got used to him being around and he now occasionally pet him even if it was just a little, it was definitely cute.

"Sorry Andres, can't pet you right now I just painted my nails." Valerie said shaking her hands in the air trying to dry them.

I laughed.

After leaving Valerie's house I thought it would be best to leave Andres at my moms house while I was out with Alex celebrating our anniversary.

I walked into my old house with Andres in my arms and looked around for my mom or Ariana.

I eventually found Ariana in the living room watching TV.
"Where's mom?"

"At the grocery shop."

I furrowed my eyebrows "Why didn't you go?"

"I'm hanging with a friend today." she said casually.

"Did you ask mom if you could go?" I said plopping down next to her, handing her over Andres.

She petted him and nodded. "Duh."

I rolled my eyes at her moodiness.

The doorbell rang, and Ariana turned off the TV and got up. "She's here." She said handing Andres.
