(You'll when I was writing this chapter I found out Tracy Chapman was still alive, I have a VERY vivid memory of my music teacher telling the rest of the class and me that she was dead like two years and now I'm freaking the fuck out, I'm going crazy)

Tays P.O.V

About seven days into being in the Church, I woke up with the worst stomach ache, wait, no-no-no-no-no. This cannot be happening, not today not now, I sighed and slowly opened the church door. there was a convenience store a few miles down it was small, but it had what I needed, I shoved it into my jacket pocket along my two Pepsis because I heard Ponyboy complaining about how he 'NEEDED' one and slinked out of the store, as I was making my way back to the church when the front page of a newspaper caught my eye

TULSA KILLERS NOW IDENTIFIED

Shit, they're on to us I thought walking into the store and stuffing a paper into one of my pockets and walking back out, after walking halfway to the church my curiosity again got the better of me, and I opened the paper the article read.

The Killers of Robert Sheldon, David Johnson and Richard Jones. Who was found dead in Crutchfield park, Tulsa on early Monday morning, have been identified as 16-year-old Johhny Cade, 15-year-old Taylor Murphy and 14-year-old Ponyboy Curtis (Pictures below). They have been said to have escaped to Texas and police are looking for them.

I sighed and flipped through the newspaper until something caught my eye the name 'Dallas Winston' i quickly read through the article. It turns out Dally got found fighting a soc and is in jail for a month; I closed the newspaper; I slowly opened the door to the church, hoping no one noticed I was gone. Still, Johnny was sitting on a bench, waiting for me. Fuck.

"Where have you been?" he asked as I shut the door.

"I had to go get something" I walked over to the table and threw the stuff on it. he grabbed my arm

"Why didn't you tell us? you just left as nothing happened" he said, I turned around and put my hands in the air in surrender

"Like I said I had to go get something," I said, slowly losing my calm.

"And you didn't tell us?" he yelled "SOMEONE COULD'VE SEEN YOU,"

"WHY THE HELL DO YOU CARE" I yelled back, Ponyboy came in

"Johnny, man, lay off her," he said, and Johnny rounded on him.

"DONT START DEFENDING HER, SHE COULDVE GOTTEN US CAUGHT"

"What you think I would just tell them where you are" I yelled

"That's exactly what I think; I think we can't trust you" He yelled walking to the door "I'm not taking any chances" he walked out of the church, being careful not to let the door hit him on the way out I was going to after him Ponyboy stopped me.

"Jus' let him cool off hell be back soon, he may be mad but he ain't no idiot," He said I sighed and picked the guitar and walked to the back porch. About an hour or two later, I was strumming to no tune in particular, and Ponyboy had gotten out the sketchbook and was drawing something.

"What are you playing?" he finally looked up, I shrugged.

"Nothing" he smiled I looked into his greenish-grey eyes "Well, nothing in particular I guess, just messing around."
