I still held that pink ribbon in the grip of my hands. How could what Ashton just explained was what happened?
I mean everything felt so real. The ghost that I saw when I first arrived to the house, Ashton being possessed and hearing strange things. I wanted to cry. Not of frustration, but of loss. The fact that I lost my daughter once. Her memories were haunting me.
I sighed and looked up at Ashton. He nodded and gave me a sympathetic smile. "It's alright. I tired to forget the loss too.."
His hand made its way towards the pink ribbon and took it gently. It was folded in a neat way and vanished just like that.
"Wha-What did you do that for?," I bursted out. "It's time to let go." And I knew he was 100% right.
After what felt like hours, I found myself staring into the glass window. I couldn't quiet see her face, but I could at least picture it. A beautiful baby smile with perfect eyes, just like her daddy.
" Come on," Ashton stroked my face. I put a hand on the glass window, not wanting to leave, wanting to stay there forever.
Ashton's hand grabbed my other hand and tugged ever so slightly. I held back, remembering the first time.
I saw me in the hospital bed with a baby girl in my arms. I couldn't quiet make out her gorgeous face, but she was crying. I rocked her back and forth in order to calm her down.
Ashton stood there, looking as happy as he has ever been. It was like on of those freeze moments where everything is just perfect. Sort of like a love movie scene.
"Come," Ashton's word soon interrupted the thoughts. I looked one last time at where she was and followed Ashton back to reality.
There was pain all over my body. Everything ached from my head all the way down to my toes.
I couldn't quiet open my eyes, but I could hear a voice coming into my ear. It was faint at first, but then it started having a person to it. "Wake up please," it begged.
ASHTON.
He shook my gently with his hands on each side of my shoulders. I groaned in order to let him know I could hear him. "Please don't you go too," his voice broke.
I thought he was dead....wasn't he?
My eyes fluttered and soon saw him and everything else came into my view. It was blurry, then the picture became clear. "Diane!" I noticed he was crying.
I looked down to my body and saw my hands pierced with blood. Something had gone through my skin because there was a mark. Actually there were a lot of marks on both my arms. My clothes seemed ripped and torn.
I tried to look at my feet, but my body ached.
I tried to open my mouth to tell him things I wanted to say, but I felt weak. I moved my head from side to side even though it hurt.
I saw I was in the same house that somehow brought me haunting's again. I squinted when the light above me shined brightly into my eyes.
A groan of pain escaped my lips.
"Don't worry, I called an ambulance," his hand stroked my cheek. He leaned and put his head on my chest. He sobbed like he was going to lose something special of his.
