The car ride was oddly silent, but not one of those awkward ones. Oh, God no it was comforting at the least. You could not help but glance at her every now and then. The street lights brought out perhaps even more of her beauty. "Did nobody tell you that it is very rude to stare?" she said with her signature smirk. "Sorry, I can't help it, you are magical Cate." You made sure to half-whisper her name. That caused her to turn her gaze from the road to you for a split second. Her eyebrow was slightly raised. "Hmmm... somebody seems to have gained confidence. We shall see for how long.". Her low and seducing voice again sent shivers down your spine and you could not help but inhale deeply.

You were aware of the fact that she knew that you kept looking at her. The beauty that radiated from deep within her would not leave you to turn your gaze away. She was so breathtaking that the deeper you wander, the more you forgot why you loved the night sky so much. The sea becomes the stars, and they glow with every small touch. Everything inside of her is so beautiful you never want to leave her presence. That, however, felt very surreal to you. She is married and the whole situation confused you.

You finally arrived and walked into the house. She must have noticed your lack of communication when she slowly grabbed you by your left shoulder to turn you to face her. "What is it my little dove? You seem deep in your thoughts. Talk to me. Please." She seemed worried thus she carefully reached for your cheek almost as she was scared to hurt you, but you would not look at her. You knew that if you dared to do so you would lose your strength to hold in everything that was hurting you. She placed her fingers under your chin. "Please, look at me." You never heard her beg before so you did. You looked deep into those icy blue eyes and tried not to sigh. "I-I am fine don't worry. I'm going to prepare the tea." You gave her a weak smile and tried to walk away, however, she was stronger and held you in your place with both how her hands. "Darling, you do not seem fine. I-" You did not let her finish. "Cate, please. I- ... maybe later. Just, let it be." That's all you were able to squeeze out of you. She gave you a concerned look but her arms slowly fell to her side and you walked away. Too many thoughts were running through your head and perhaps most of them were not logical. You always had a habit of living in the past. The present and future scared you because they are mysterious. But the past is a time that will always be. You could count on it to stay the same. That's why you often got stuck in memories. That's perhaps why they call you a daydreamer. However, the past is painful, the memories bitter. You can't help but think back to all the people who stabbed you. As you were preparing the tea you leaned onto the counter. It has been years since she had left. Your first love that scarred your heart and soul. Since then you were unable to trust another human. You closed your eyes and drew in a deep, shaky breath to help calm the nerves buzzing around in your stomach. Your eyes turned red in a second as you tried to wipe away your salty tears. 'Focus on your breathing...' you thought to yourself.

Suddenly you felt two arms snake around your waist and a kiss on your head. You started panicking as you did not want the older woman to see you like this, she would surely think that you are childish. "My sweet angel." Was all that left her lips, all she did was that she held you tightly. You could not tell for how long she held you, but you felt safe. She finally turned you around and with her thumbs whipped your bitter tears away. "It hurts me deeply to see you like this." This only brought you more tears into your eyes. To that, she placed a kiss on both of your closed eyes and rested her forehead on yours. "Go and get cosy on the couch and I will bring the tea." She held your hand in her hands with a hopeful smile. To that, you were only able to nod. Moments passed as you were waiting for her to appear in the living room. She finally walked in with two mugs of steaming liquid which she placed on the coffee table. "Do you perhaps have space for me?" She asked with a sweet smile. You could not help yourself but smile and lift the blanket up for her. She slowly took her place underneath the light brown blanket. She positioned herself waiting for you to rest your head on her chest what you eventually did. Her left hand was playing with your hair while she held you with her other one.

"I don't want to force you to be here (Y/N), if you wish to leave, please just tell me." She sounded odd, perhaps she was too quiet than usual. "I can tell that something is not right and if you do not feel comfortable with me, tell me. If you want to stop seeing me, well, do not hesitate to let me know. I could not blame you, I am older than you and perhaps you would prefer to be seeing somebody your age. " She continued with a sigh at the end of her monologue. The last thing you wanted was to make her feel like this. You quickly raised your head to face her. "Don't say that I could never... and that's scaring me. Without you, I fall endlessly but when I'm with you, I fall back into place. When I hear your voice, I feel safe. You are so special, so very special... a lovely addition to my life, and I just want you to know that." You took a deep breath and continued. "I... Oh, I am so weak and scared. Why would anyone like you even look at me? I think that I might be overthinking everything. I just don't want to lose you." Before you could continue she leaned over and kissed you. A long, deep kiss filled with promise and passion. You loved the way she kissed you. Like she was drinking in the taste of you and still coming back thirsty. "My darling." She whispered against your lips. "I wish I could erase those silly thoughts that are screaming in your head. I love you." Her voice was shaky.

A dense quietness settled between them as the two of you looked at one another intently, each knowing the other felt the same flutter emotions. "Did you mean it? I mean, the fact that you love me." You finally took the courage to ask her. Cate smiled, a blush colouring her cheeks, confidence building like a crescendo within her. She placed both of her hands on your face, kissed her you more, and then searched your eyes. "I do. You have no idea how much I love you." And that was all you needed to hear. You collected all your strength and shifted your weight forward. You boldly kissed Cate on her cheek, then her jawbone, then her neck, eliciting a soft moan. She pulled you closer, now you were straddling her. "I love you." You murmured, trailing kisses back up to Cate's mouth and parting her lips with an eager tongue. Cate's hand crept dangerously high upon one of your thighs that sent you shivers down your spine. „Hmm... somebody kept her confidence." She said in a seductive low voice earning a smirk from you. As you were about to say something she easily lifted you and pushed you on your back so she was on top of you. „Cat got your tongue?" She teased.
