[Third Person P.O.V]

Ever since Houndsworth a lot of things had happened while Pluto was put in the care of Ciel Phantomhive. But lady Angela was keeping something hidden from the suspicious demon butler. That the legend of the demon hound was not of just the white dog, Pluto. But also of the black dog. Demon hounds have the ability to change from humans to dogs and back, but remain dog-like at all times and cannot talk. It was believed to not possessing the level of intelligence other races do, that they are somewhat easily controlled and manipulated.

Or at least, that part is true for the males. But it's clear that they only prefer to listen to people deemed worthy. Usually preferring non-humans like angels and demons. But this black dog we don't know its story, or how it all began. So we'll start before Ciel came to this desolate town.

[ Black Dog P.O.V]

I can recall nothing before the fog. Thick and ominous as it covered the land of Houndsworth. I can recall how my life was then so clearly. I remember I used to live far away from there. I would live in caves mostly. I came to this town and found shelter in old ruins outside of the town. I'd wonder at night, searching for food. Living in such a cruel and unforgiving place made finding food that wasn't dead dogs hard. I knew well enough how the villagers treated their dogs. I once witnessed a glimpse of a bear bating once, and I came to understand more reason to distrust humans.  I was able to make any dog submit and not even try to attack me If they sensed me around. But I never ate any dead dogs or people. I kept away from the humans as to not endanger myself. But I'd not eat till nineteen days before going close to the town to find food.

I could get my water from the water hole, but I'd force myself to eat anything I didn't have to kill that was around. After I'd eat I'd go to where I  lived. I was a giant wolf of a demon hound. My black fur seemed to shine against the moon light. I'd growl at the human villagers who would see me just to make them run away from me. My red eyes like burning embers through the pitch black night.

I had once been found by a human and they tried to spear me with a pitchfork. I ended up injuring him as we fought. I felt bad even though he tried to hurt me anyway. I felt I got scared, and that only made it harder not to hurt him. I felt myself get pulled into bloodlust, rendering me helplessly incapable of regaining rational thought. Next thing I knew I had killed him.

Out of respect I picked him up in my mouth and carried him back to the town. I left him there and I was seen and that is where I earned a part in the humans legend of this town.

" The black dog is a bad dog, a bad dog, bad. " I spent a couple years in another place that I could rest that couldn't be found by another human for a while at least.

It had been once again nineteen days of no food. I forced myself to start running to find food in the barren landscape. They say a human can't live without food for three weeks before their body shuts down. When your body is as big as mine is you have to find a lot of food to support it. I knew this was probably the way I'd spend the rest of my life, and I was fine with that. I never seen another demon hound and I probably never would. I knew that If I was to have anything that wasn't needed to survive I'd put myself in danger and anyone else. If this was to be my life, to be alone and to struggle, then....it's better this way.
