We were in a carriage approaching the mansion. I couldn't hide my happiness to be home. I held a smile as I leaned standing up at the mansion ahead. I felt I can finally find a break from the stress of work. The last one I didn't expect to take so long and so much out of me. I felt everyone felt almost as excited as me to get back to having some normalcy again. When we stopped I saw Pluto in his demon hound form and he was panting as he ran to greet us back. " Pluto! " he then pounced on top me. I laid on my back as he laid over me and started to lick me crazily smiling at me. I couldn't help but laugh and say as I smiled " Ah! I missed you too Pluto " he stopped licking me and started to just rest his head on top of my chest as he pinned me to the ground wagging his tail frantically as it patted on the ground. I was able to move my arms and lifted myself up a bit as I hugged his face, and kissing his nose. I felt my heart lighten at this moment. I couldn't recall ever missing him this much before. It was kinda mutual as I can see.
Eventually, he let me move only when he transformed into his human form and continued to nuzzle my face and into my neck. I was able to not work for a while so I didn't have to do a thing when we got back. I stopped Pluto from nuzzling me when I held his arms and hugged him tightly. He was blushing a bit as he smiled and hugged me back. I told him all about the mission and everything I saw, herd, and smelled. Also about the prince Soma and Agni. I even surprised him by making some curry for lunch which he ate lifting his head up from it to say
" This is awesome! Thanks Selene! " before quickly devouring the rest while I pretty much did the same. I felt it was only fare since he missed out on so much. I told him about the curry festival and how the Queen was there. I even told him the story of Kali and Shiva. He listened to everything and I felt his reactions to some things were fun to see. Like when I mentioned how prince Soma treats Ciel are master, he'd started to chuckle like crazy. When I'd describe the curry and the smell he'd start to drool a bit as he'd comment on what he imagines it taste like. I didn't realize how long it had been since I was able to speak. I had to remain silent and composed. Now I'm talking as much as I can. I started to get my maid outfit off as I turned into my true form. I stretched out and shacked off as I decided I wanted to play with Pluto for a while. We playfully fought and tried to chase one another through the garden.
We stopped once we got tired, and once we went into the dog house I remembered that man that was escorting the queen. How I could tell he seemed to be hiding his true nature behind the face he had. Like he literally had two faces that I now have seen. I started to think about Angela. How she had that similar facade that I was able to see through, but I looked back to that whole puppet investigation. I still hadn't asked Pluto who he was so comfortable with in that puppet, or why his collar made him change into his natural form. I suppose, no matter how much I want to know there's some part of me that wants to forget it and not worry. It had been nearly a year since we came here, and during that time the thought of Angela felt like mere haze in my mind as I thought of her less and less. But now, the memory of her comes up and how Pluto's collar was given from her. It made me wonder weather or not it she gave it to him to cause him pain and be forced into being in his demon hound form. The very thought made me nervous and question what use she'd have in doing so. I shook the thoughts away as I just thought about me and Pluto. We snuggled together trying to sleep for the night as I leaned my head on top of his.
