Chapter. 23

#A.N.: 1,01k?! Are you kidding me?!! Y'all just made me almost fall off my bed! I can't believe we just hit the 1k mark! 😆😆😆 Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter.

I have to admit I'm a bit worried.

Val and Jenny said they were coming over the lair, but they told us to go to patrol earlier than usual, and they didn't tell us why.

Also, they made us promise that we would be back only when they tell us to.

"Dudes... I wonder what's going on with them. I mean, is it because they wanted to surprise us? Or is it because something bad happened? Like something really, really bad happened to them and they don't want us to know?" Mikey asked only to get hit in the head by Donnie.

"Mikey!" He said as he hit our younger brother on his head.

"Ow!"

I smile a bit. Donnie knows that Mikey's crazy superstitions were almost driving me and Raph crazy. After all, he was talking about the possibility of bad things happening to our girlfriends.

Still, even though I'm concerned, I'm somewhat calm.

"There's no way something bad happened to them." Donnie said.

"And what makes you so sure?" Raph asked.

"They are with Master Splinter. So I don't think something bad can happen to them. So whatever the danger is, I bet Sensei can protect the girls." Donnie said.

I nod. Yeah, Donnie's right. I'm sure it's nothing. Or at least, nothing to be that concerned about.

Just then, Donnie's cellphone started to ring.

He sees the ID of the call. "It's Jennifer."

And of course with that, Raph was the first one to get by his side.

"Put it on the speaker." He said.

Donnie picked up doing just as Raph said.

"Hello?" He asked.

"Hi, Donnie! Is everyone with you?" We hear Jennifer ask.

"Jenny, what the hell are ya doin'? You had us worried! And why did ya call Donnie instead of me?" Raph complained.

"I'm sorry, Raph. It's just... Well..."

We frown.

"Jenny? Is something wrong?"

"Well... Why don't you come down here and see it by yourselves?"

We look at each other. But we soon reach an agreement.

"We'll be there in a few." I said.

"Okie dokie." She said.

With that, we left to the lair.

Timeskip

After a while, we finally reached the lair, but everything was dark.

"What is going on?" I mumbled to myself.

"Bruhs... I think it's a surprise party." Mikey said.

Raph scoffed. "Please. There's no way this is a--"

"SURPRISE!!"

We hear some people yelling. Then, the lights are on, but they look more like those parties you see on movies.

"CALLED IT!!!" Mikey yelled as loud as he could.

I looked around in shock. The lair is decorated with balloons, and stuff. And there is a table with lots of food and a bowl with some drink I'm not familiar with.
