"So... How are we going to tell your parents?" Leo asked.

It's been a week since we started dating, and none of our relatives knew.

Currently, we're in my bed cuddling as my parents left to have some 'couple's time'. We also managed to do it because Master Splinter gave the boys the night off.

"I have no idea." I said as I felt his fingers play with my hair.

"Is there any Brazilian custom or something like that?" He asked.

"Well, that I remember, whenever a couple starts dating officially, they wear matching rings on their right ring finger." I said while moving my ring finger that had my grandmother's ring.

"*Chuckle* Then we have a problem. I don't really have a ring finger, much less a normal sized one." He said as he held my hand.

I laughed. "I know." I said as I managed to interwine my fingers with his.

"Can't Donnie make us something?" I asked.

"I could ask him, but... I don't know if he'll say yes."

"Well, you won't know until you try, right?"

He chuckled. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

We stood silent for a while. Suddenly, I remembered something. "What about necklaces?" I asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Instead of matching rings, we could use matching necklaces, or those two piece ones. I still talk to some friends in Brazil that have those and their partners have the other half."

He stood silent for a while. "... I like it. We could try it."

I smiled. "Still, you need to ask my parents officialy if I can be your girlfriend. They are more traditional-like."

"Okay. We'll wait until they're back."

"Deal."

After Leo officially asked my parents if I could be his girlfriend and they said yes - which almost gave me a heart attack since I knew they didn't like him at first, so I thought they'd say no, but I relaxed after my father made Leo promise he would protect me and keep me happy, and when he did that vow, they gave us their blessings - we were heading to the lair. Now that my parents said yes, we could finally give his family the good news.

"Nervous?" He asked as he guided me through the sewers.

I nodded. "A lot. I can't believe this is happening."

"Me neither. I never thought I'd ever date anyone, much less a beautiful human girl like you."

"And I never thought I'd ever date anyone at all."

We chuckled a bit after that.

Soon enough, we reached the lair.

"You better cover your ears." He said as he stopped.

I did as I was told.

"Guys! I'm back! Val's here too!" He announced.

"VAL?!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" I heard Mikey yelling from far into the lair.

Soon enough, I heard hurried steps and suddenly felt someone pulling me into a bear hug.

"Oh, I'm so glad you're here, dudette!"

"Me too, Mikey. Now would you please let me go? I need... Air." I said.

"Oh, right sorry." He said as he let me go.
