I See Through You

Chapter. 37

After a while, we pulled back from the kiss, even though I didn't want to.

"I'm so happy you're here, Val." He said.

"Me too, Leo."

After a bit, I spoke up again. "Do your brothers know I'm here?"

"I don't think so. I mean, they know about the new mutant, but they don't know it's you." 

"*Chuckle* I hope I can see the look on their faces when they find out that the new mutant is me."

Then, he pulled back. "Hey... I've just had an idea."

I raised my eyebrow. "And what may that be?"

Timeskip

I had to hold myself back really hard not to laugh too loud. We were going to the lair, since Leo's plan was to surprise the others, that's why I'm with my mask/helmet.

When we got there, my eyes widened. The place was way bigger than I thought, but soon enough I started to understand and remember each part of the place. The dojo, Donnie's lab, where they had the punching bags, Leo's bedroom, all of it.

Still, soon enough I saw a turtle similar to Leo, but with an orange mask, and he sure spotted me.

"What the-- Dude! How did you find her?!" Yep, definitely Mikey.

"More like she found me."

"Are you serious?!" I heard Raph shout from behind us. I turned around and saw him jumping down from where the punching bags are.

My eyes widened. It was quite of a jump. But my eyes widened even more when he walked up to as and stared down at me. He's so freakin' tall! I mean, I remember he was, but I never thought he'd also be more muscular than Leo is. He's a walking wardrobe!

Still, as he walked up to us, he tried to look intimidating.

"Why did you let her follow you here, Leo? You know that we're not supposed to let anyone in. Much less a mutant."

"It's okay, Raph. She's on our side."

"And how do you know? To me she seems to be mute since she hasn't spoken one word so far." He said as he crossed his arms, but I only stood ground.

"Trust me, I know."

"How?"

"Whoa... So you really are a Great Horned Owl mutant. Impressive." Donnie spoke making me turn to him. No wonder I remembered some sort of metallic sound whenever he walked, his shell is full of gadgets.

"May I see your wingspan?"

I opened my wings and the three gasped.

"Whoa... They're so big!" Mikey said.

"Amazing... The wingspan must be close to three times your height."

I made a three with my hand.

"Exactly three times your height?"

I nodded. Don't laugh. Don't laugh. Don't. Laugh. Oh, dang. This is too funny.

"Whoa... Would you mind if I mesured them?"

Once I shrugged, he headed to the lab.

"Well, care to explain how you know she won't be trouble now, Leo?"

"*Sigh* Raph, I've already told you. Trust me."

"I know what you said, but I want to know how you know it."
