J: AAAHHHH!! SO FREAKING CHEESY!!! I'll try to change that for a bit, if you don't mind.
School is finally over. Which means, I can spend all the time I want in the music classes or with Leo and his brothers.
So, even though it was 10 a.m. I'm playing the piano on my music class, and Jenny's watching.
After a while, I ask for a break of course. I wished I could play nonstop, but I know my body can't handle it. At least not for as long as I want it to.
Still, once the teacher was out, Jenny spoke up.
"Whoa... Val... That was amazing! You are so good at the piano! I wish I was good like that at some instrument."
"*Giggle* Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you tell me you played the acoustic guitar?"
"I said I used to. I stopped a couple of years ago."
I frowned. "Why?"
"Oh, nothing that important. Anyways, are you going to go see the guys later?"
"Sure thing. I do need to train, remember?"
"True... You're so lucky, y'know?"
I tilted my head. "What do you mean?"
"Splinter gave you the idea of training, and Leo helps you out by supporting you. I wish Raph did the same."
"You mean... You wanted Raph to incentivate you to train with them?"
"Yeah..."
"And... You're... Disappointed?"
"*Groan* Yeah. I mean, doesn't Raph know that he won't be there for me every single time I get in trouble? Like back at school. If a punk comes trying to make a move on me, I won't be able to stand up for myself, and Raph won't be there either."
I held my chin as I crossed my other arm.
"... If I may, that is a good argument. Why don't you try to talk to him today about it? Maybe he'll listen."
"You think so?"
"Of course. He is your boyfriend, after all. So I'm assuming he wants you to be safe and happy. Therefore, I don't see why the fear of you getting hurt in training would be bigger than the fear of you getting killed on the streets."
She stopped to think about it. I could tell so far.
"You're right. Maybe I can talk to him about this."
I winked. "I'm sure you can. You're only I know who managed to, you know, make him get out of his 'shell'."
We laughed at my joke. Then, when the music teacher was back, the class went on as normal.
Timeskip
After some hours, we reached the lair, and Jenny went straight to the places where Raph uses to be to talk with him.
Me, on the other hand, go talk with Splinter about today's training session. Turned out he let me without training tonight, which made me pout a little.
But once I was done and headed out of the dojo, I felt someone hugging me from behind.
"Hi, there." I heard the person say.
I let out a sigh as I turned around and hugged the turtle.
"Don't scare me like that, Leo. You know I can't be that aware of where you are when you're in ninja mode."
I felt him hugging me tighter. "Sorry. I guess that's a habit of mine."
"A bad habit."
"*Chuckle* I'll try to change it just for you, then. How does that sound?"
"To be honest, pretty good."
We shared a long hug before he let go and held my hand. Lately, he's been doing that so I get used to it. At least with him.
"Where's Jennifer? I thought she was with you."
"Well, like you said, she was. Now she's looking for Raph or probably already talking to him. She had some stuff to discuss with him."
"Makes sense. Anyways, do you want to train a little? Though Splinter did say you could take the night off."
I almost jumped in happiness.
"Are you kidding me? I'd love to have a training session with you, Leo."
"Then let's get started."
With that, I trained with Leo and I have to say, it was pretty fun. Though I wish he didn't hold back so much.
But I couldn't ask for a better first training with my boyfriend.
