= eighteen =

As soon as the car picked up speed, you began finding it difficult to stay awake, the exhaustion taking over you.

"You seem to be tired, Miss?"

The driver looked at you through the mirror with concern.

"If you want to, you can rest for a while. I'll wake you up when we reach there."

You gave him a small smile, hesitating at first.

"It's okay. I'll manage."

You could help but be slightly paranoid about you being in a car with a driver you didn't really know.

Of course, he had dropped you at the building and back home just last night, but

better watch out.

He suddenly chuckled, taking you by surprise.

"Rest assured, Miss. You're safe with me. The last thing I'd want to do is get into trouble by letting anything happen to you. From what I've known, you are a really important person to Mr. Seokjin."

You gave him an apologetic smile, and he smiled back.

"But it's absolutely normal of you to think like that. So now, I suggest you get some rest for a bit."

"Thank you!" You beamed, resting your head by the window as you stared at the world whizzing by, slowly drifting off to sleep.

---

"Miss?

Excuse me?"

You flinched in your sleep, trying to force your eyes open as you heard a familiar voice, but the voice seemed distant.

The voice kept getting a bit louder and clearer as you were starting to wake up.

Finally, after tons of effort, you managed to open an eye as you tried to focus your vision of your surroundings.

A car.... ?

"Miss. We're here."

Suddenly, it all came back to you as you remembered where exactly you were.

"Oh yes. How long has it been?"

"A bit more than half an hour?"

Damn. Who sleeps this heavily for just half an hour?

[A/N: Me. Even if it's just 10 minutes lmao]

You managed to sit up, rubbing your eyes as he got out of the car, getting to your side.

Get up.

Fix your hair.

At least try to look like you haven't just woken up from hibernation.

You sighed, running your fingers through your hair, blinking a few times, trying to be as awake as possible before the driver opened the door for you.

This guy really is a gentleman.

You thanked him as you got out of the car.

"The luggage?"

"Oh, you'll be leaving for the airport in the same car!" He replied, smiling.

On entering the building, you could see staff members rushing towards the lobby, and the atmosphere seemed to be a bit more active than usual.
