Part 9 of F L A S H B A C K

Moving on is never an easy thing. There were nights that I couldn't sleep because the scenes of those horrible moments kept on bothering me.

But I gotta be strong for my mom. I don't wanna hurt her so I tried to erase everything even if it's the most difficult thing to do.

Here we are in NYC. From St. Cloud High School, I transfered to St. John Villa Academy, a private school for girls.

Mom's gonna send me to school every morning and pick me up after class hours so I'll be secured.

This is my first day here. I went down from our pick up truck and kissed goodbye to my mom.

"Good luck to your first day, sweety! Love you!"

"Love you, too Mom! Gotta go!" I winked. ^_~

Oh I have to rush! I shouldn't be late this time.

From a gangster, here I am now, dressed up casually with a trench coat. A trench that hits above the knee is great to team up with my washed blue skinny jeans in riding boots. 'Bout my hair, well it's still red. HAHA!

Room 301

"Alright, ladies pay attention. We have a new student, Miss Reid Andrea Williams from Florida. Reid, wanna say something?" the class teacher, Miss Evans.

"Oh? Me? Ahh... hi, glad to be here." it was my first time to say hi to everyone. It's a deep unusual thing. Crap! But I have to do this. I don't wanna be snob anymore. I should be friendly and nice. That's what my mom said to me last night. ^_^

"Okay, dear you may sit beside Miss Ashley." Miss Evans said.

Ashley smiled at me and I smiled back. I think she's nice. I sat beside her.

"Hi. I'm Ashley Hilton. Wanna join me for lunch later?"

"Sure!"

Amidst the discussion of Miss Evans, there came a nasty-rock girl. I'd stopped writing on my lecture notebook because she caught my attention. I used to be just like her.

"Miss Kelly, late again. What's new?! Sit down."

"Alright, Miss Evans! Love yah! Mwaahh!" she did a flying kiss to Miss Evans then sat on the front row.

"What's her name again? She's cool." I whispered.

"Oh she's Kelly. Yea, she's cool. But you must stay away from her. She's never a good friend. She's a good bitch." Ashley answered.

"Really?" I looked at Kelly and she looked at me too. I tried to smile but Ashley signed me not to. So I keep my eyes away from Kelly.

Lunch Break

"What???!!! Kelly's a lesbian??!!" I exclaimed with so much confusion.

"Sssshhh. They might hear you. Yea, she is."

"But Ashley, I mean look at her, the way she dressed up, the way she moves, the way she talks... How could you say that she's a lesbian?" I can't help doubting on what I just heard from Ashley.

"Reid, listen to me. Take a look at this picture." Ashley has shown me a picture on her iPad3. A picture of a fashionable lady. "This is Tracy Stevens. A daughter of a multi-millionaire editor-in-chief of El Moda Magazine and a famous fashion designer here in NYC. She's 2 years older than us. And she. . . is the lesbian girlfriend of Kelly."

"Ohmigosh! I can't believe this. She really is??"

"Oh yes. Welcome to lesbian world, Reid!"

"Lesbian world? So you mean, all of these students are lesbian??"

"Not all. . . but mostly. Reid, you must promise me one thing."

"Sure, what is it?"

"Promise me you'll never be one of them."

"Of course I won't be one of them! You're kidding me, Ashley! Haha!"

"No. Take it seriously. They can influence a lot of ladies in just a bit. So don't get to be influenced or else, you'll be in trouble. I assure you."

"Okay. But wait, have you ever been influenced by them for once?"

"They tried to. But I refused to be one of them. Use your head, Reid. Don't ever get into their trouble. It won't help you. Oh, the next class is about to start. We have to go!"
