Part 13 of F L A S H B A C K
Saturday, 7am. I just got up from bed. I faced the mirror and fixed my hair. Today, we're gonna have a friendship date. So I guess I need to pick the best dress from my closet.
"Hi sweet heart! Come on down, breakfast is ready!"
"Mom, do I look pretty in here?" I was fitting my feminine frill top dress with solid colour skirt and dot top.
"You look so beautiful! Wait a minute, are you going out for a date?"
"I'll be going out with Ashley."
"With Ashley? You're too conscious about your looks but you're just going out with your best friend. Sounds weird."
Oh my gosh. She shouldn't know that I'm in love with Ashley! Mom, don't be so suspicious, okay?? Ugghhh! "Oh? Ahmm... I just wanna be beautiful. Haha!" winked. ;-) Duhh. I hate making excuses.

--> 1 new message fr. ASHLEY:)
"Meet me at Starbucks. See you there!"
I replied, "Okay."
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
At Starbucks Coffee, New York.
"Hey! Oh my gosh! What happened to you? Are you in a transformation mode? You look so girly! It's beautiful." Ashley exclaimed.
"Really? You like my new fashion? Haha!"
"Of course! I love it! C'mon, let's have some frappuccino."
"Okay, my treat."
"Seriously?"
"Seriously. Let me handle it. Anything else you want?" I asked while getting my wallet.
"No more. I'm fine with frappuccino. Is there something wrong with you? You're so weird. You never treated me before. Well, it's the first time, I guess!"
"Don't you like my new attitude!? I'm trying so hard just to be nice to you! Haha. Freakin' joke."
"Hmmm. I like that attitude, keep it up girl! Haha!"
After the frappuccino, we moved to Manhattan Mall for shopping.

--------------------------------------
We were strolling around for almost four hours and a bit. Suddenly, Ashley took a pause and stared at the shimmering diamond necklace.
"Hmmm?? You like it?" I asked.
She nodded and said, "Yea. It's beautiful. How I wish someone could give this to me. Isn't it wonderful to receive a diamond necklace from a good looking man?! Ohmigosshh! It's a day-dreaming once again! C'mon, let's have some pizza over there." Hear that? She frankly said she wants to have this necklace from a good-looking man. Damn! I should buy it. I don't care If I'm not the man she was dreamin' of.
When we got to the Pizza restaurant, I asked her to take the order. Well, I pretend to go to wash room but I really plan to go back and take the diamond necklace.
"132$?" Whoah. It costs a big amount. Whatever! I'll buy this necklace no matter what. "Alright. I'll take it. Here's my ATM card."
"Thank you!" a sales lady handed me the box of necklace. I immediately kept it inside my bag and went back to the pizza restaurant.
Here I am. One more step to reach the Pizza Restaurant but wait. . . What's happening?? I felt pain in my chest. I don't know, it's hard for me to breathe. Who's that guy talking to Ashley? Ugghhh!!!! >.< It hurts me.
"Oh! Hey, Reid! Come here. I'd like you to meet Brandon. Brandon, she's Reid, my best best best friend!"
"Hi! Glad to see you. Have a seat. " he said.
I don't know. I wasn't glad to see this guy. "Thanks. Ahmm... Ashley, you didn't tell me about your boyfriend. Is he?" :-(
She smiled and looked at Brandon. "He's my childhood friend from New Jersey. I think I had mentioned him before, don't you remember?"
"I don't think so. What is he doing here?" I frankly asked.
"Uhh... I just moved here in NYC couple of days ago. I was really planning to surprise Ashley but then I saw her unexpectedly here. It was a destiny, isn't it? Haha!" Brandon explained.
What destiny are you talkin' about, man!? Don't try to steal my best friend. Grrrr!
"I know right. Oh gosh! I really missed you Branny! So, it means you're gonna transfer to St. John Boys School?" Ashley asked with full of excitement. Aww! I hate it so much!
"Yup! I'll go to St. John on Monday. It's right beside your campus, right?" What the! He'll be going to a sister school of St. John?? It sucks!
Damn. We were hanging at the Pizza Restaurant for an hour. They were enjoying their moment together and how about me?? Well, I wasn't able to talk, I can't even relate myself to what they were talking about. I was like a stupid statue between two lovers! What an awkward feeling. Sh*t.
"Guys, I have to go. Mom's waiting for me outside." I said while preparing myself to leave.
"Wait, it's too early yet. Why don't you come with us first, we're gonna watch a movie. I'll ask aunt Zandra about it." Ashley insisted.
"No, thanks. Just enjoy your day. Bye!"
"Uhhh... alright, take care!"
I couldn't take it. I hate to see them laughing together as if they own the world. Yeah, I'm jealous. Fine! I am. I am. They're just friends but I really felt jealous. >.<"
