Part 10 of F L A S H B A C K
It was about 4:28PM, end of classes. Mom was waiting for me.
(Gateway of St. John Villa Academy)
"Hi Mom! Oh, I'd like you to meet my friend, Ashley." Ashley was right beside me.
"Hi Ashley, it's good to see you! Would you like to come with us? I decided to take Reid out for dinner."
"Oh I'd loved to but I have to go home now. Dad's waiting for me. Maybe next time?"
"Okay, I understand. So, hope to see you next time, dear! Goodbye." Mom waved and get inside the car. "Come on Reid, let's go now before the traffic strikes."
"Yes, mom. Bye Ashley! I'll see you tomorrow!" I winked and gave Ashley a beso.
"Alright, good bye! Take care!" Ashley.

Ashley's P.O.V
"Yow, Ashley! Is she your friend? What's her name?" Ohh shit. It's Kelly blocking my way.
"Why are you asking her name? You like her? Then I won't let her to be like you. I have to go. Don't block my way."
"Oh come on! Why are you acting so mean? HAHA! Don't worry, gonna handle her with perfect care!" Kelly grinned.
"Shut up, Kelly! Leave her alone." I turned my back and went away from her.

The next day, Ashley was busy doing her homework. She's the top1 in class. Well, she's really genius, I bet!
"Look so busy, aren't you?" I dropped my bag on my chair and sat beside Ashley.
"Yep. I'm having a quite review about our homework. Done with yours?"
"Oh, not yet. I hate trigonometry. Look at my sheet. I can't solve even the simplest equation." I was frowning.
Ashley grabbed my paper sheet. "I'm gonna teach you! Focus and you'll be getting it, promise!" she smiled at me. I don't know but I think she reminds me of Chad. I remember when Chad told me to focus and listen to our teacher. Awww. Damn!
"Hey! Reid, you're not listening, are you?" Ashley snapped in front of my numb eyes.
"Oh! Ahh... I'm sorry. You just. . . reminded me of someone I used to know. Ahh... Will you excuse me for a moment." I went to the comfort room. I was washing my face when somebody came out from the cubicle. I took a pause. Oh, it's Kelly.
"Hi. You're the transferee, right?" Kelly asked but I don't know if I'm gonna answer. Ashley told me not to speak with her. What to do now??
"Ahh. . . yea." I answered with a very soft tone. I was about to leave the place.
"Wait! Are you free tonight? I wanna get to know you more. Can we go out together?" Kelly smiled as if she's a nice person. And I guess she really is.
"I can't. I'm sorry." I left her alone. I don't know why but I think there's something about her that really captures me inside. Hmmm?? It's weird. I really wanted to meet her but Ashley warned me not to. So I guess, I made a right decision. I should ignore Kelly for my own sake.

I went back to the classroom.
"Hey, where have you been?" Ashley asked.
"Ahmm.. Ashley, I need to tell you something. She asked me to. . . you know, "hang out together. Me with her", something like that."
"And. . .? You're trying to say that you're gonna go and get along with her, aren't you?"
"Oh, it's not what you think. I, I. . . Alright, I refuse to go along with her. Happy now?"
"Good decision! Anyway, would you like to have some milk tea at my place?"
"Sure! Ahmm... I mean, I have to ask mom about it. Wait, I'll call her first." I took my phone out from my pocket and asked mom for permission.
"Okay. I'm sure you're gonna love it!"
