Chapter 2

Week 1: GMA & Love Madness

After practice that day, we showered then got on the private airplane and made our way to New York.

Most of the time, while everyone were having conversations. I sat alone in the back listening to music.

Why would Payson leave now..

He didn't even warn me about it . He just got up and left like it wouldn't effect me.

I might never see him again, and I'll just have to live with that.

Looking up, I noticed Artem looking down at me. He sat down besides me and pulled me close.

"What's wrong?" He asked looking down at me.

"I really don't want to talk about it.." Whispering, I leaned my head on his shoulder

"Janel, You know you can tell me..." He said rubbing my arm.

"My boyfriend... He broke up with me this afternoon.."

Artem rubbed my arm nodding. "I'm so sorry.. You can always come to me.." he mumbled to me.

Smiling, our eyes met and locked. From the corner of my eye I noticed Val watching us carefully. Intensely like the day before.

Laying my head on his chest then shut my eyes, instantly falling asleep on him.

Hours Later:

When I woke up, everyone on the plane was asleep, looking up Artem was also asleep. He looked so adorable.

Standing up, walking towards the front, I opened the fridge grabbing a bottle of water.

"You okay?"

Startled, I turned around noticing Val standing behind me, with his hands in his pockets.

"Yeah, I'm sorry I dozed off earlier.."

"I kinda figured that out.." He said glancing at Artem.

"No, he was-"

"Janel, you don't have to explain anything.." Val shook his head.

"Payson, he's gone.." Whispering, I looked up at him.

"What do you mean?"

"He broke up with me this afternoon.."

"I'm so sorry, Janel.. " He said pulling me into a hug.

"I'm fine.. I just need to sleep it off.." Walking back to my spot, and sitting down I noticed Artem waking up.

"Hey.. go back to sleep.." Whispering, I touched his hand softly.

"your okay, right?" He whispered .

"Yeah, I'm fine.. we'll talk in the morning."

Lying my head back on his chest, he wrapped his arm around me. Tightly, more than Payson ever did.

Friday Morning: 5 am.

We all arrived in New York at around 5:20 , we grabbed our bags and made our way into the vans.

In my van it was Mark and Sadie, Bethany and Derek, and Leah and Arthem, thenVal and I.

Sitting besides Val, he looked over at me and slowly slipped his hand into mine. Smiling, I turned to look over at him.

"Is there a thing?" Val whispered in my ear.

"What do you mean?"

"Artem? He's been watching you.."

"No, I - I.. "

Val chuckled and shook his head, squeezing my hand softly.

Looling down, I let my hair fall in front of my face, I didn't want anyone to notice my red cheeks.

Artem's POV•

Since last night, I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. Sitting with Leah, Just looking at Janel made me smile.

Noticing her hold hands with Val made me wonder but , doubt anything there.

From where I was sitting, I noticed her blushing and Val meeting my gaze. He gave me a look and smirked mischievously.

After a 25 minute drive, we arrived at the GMA studio. Slipping out the car with Leah, we made our way inside.

The guys and ladies were separated to do and get dressed.

Stepping into the dressing rooms, we changed into entire we were going to wear.

Once we were all done changing, Derek motioned me over.

"Hey, I need to ask you something.." He said.

Janel's POV•

The girls were shoved into Hair and Make up once we finished getting dressed.

Looking into the mirror after my makeup was done, I smiled to myself. Looking down at my phone, I noticed a text from Payson and Val.

payson: call me when your not busy?

Val: ready for this! Love you.

Answering Payson's text first.

Why should I text you, Payson.

I wanna talk about how we ended it..

I don't want to though, you made your choice.. Yesterday.

But I'll be in the audience on Monday.. Just for you. Janel, please.

I took a deep breath, Not knowing what to say. I placed my phone down staring at it.

Please reply, Janel.
I still love you no matter what.
Just think about it, I  wont give up.
I'll be watching GMA, hope you call after

Sighing, I stood up and walked out. Asking one of the ladies where I could get some fresh air.

Standing outside, my brain felt like it was going to explode any moment, my heart wanted to stop beating. How am I suppose to feel at like a moment like this?

Payson knew exactly what to do to get me back and that's what I'm afraid of. He knows my weak spot to anything and he'll use that to his advantage.

After a few moments, tears started streaming down my face, Wiping them away and taking a deep breath. I leaned back on the wall staring out into the distance.

My phone buzzed once more, looking down, it was Val asking me where I was. Not replying, just not in the mood of having someone feel bad for me. That'll make me feel pathetic.

Moments later, the back door opened and Val stepped out, turning around to face him. He head a worried but confused look on his face.

"What are you doing up here, Janel?"

"I just needed some air, what are you doing up here?"

'I was looking for you, and that lady said you were up here.." he nodded. "so I came up to check on you.."

"Oh,  well I'm fine..." Looking over at Val, I nodded, smiling.

He didn't say anything.. He just watched me. I could tell my body language was making it too obvious.

"I'm gonna back inside now." Quickly, I tried to make my way back inside.

He grabbed my hand and looked at me. "don't hold it in, Janel.. It won't help you but I can.."

Not speaking, just staring at each other we knew exactly what we were saying.

A/N: I'LL update soon, I just love Janelskiy so MUCH. but I don't want them to happen too fast so I'm putting someone between them.. Artem. Mostly bc of the switch up and he'll be bettwr for the part then Derek or Mark I think.. Tell me your thoughts..
