Chapter 5

This was the last practice we had for this foxtrot before dress rehearsal. We were nailing the moves but Val was making sure I was doing it properly.

"Look babe, You know I love you and I want you to do you best. So let's do it one more time.

Not wanting to argue with his logic, we went over it again. And again. And again. Once, we did it the last time he smiled and kissed my forehead softly.

I smiled as he went to grab the water bottles. I made my way to the back room and freshened up and changed out of my clothes and got dressed in something else.

Slipping into my red high-low dress and black heels. I slipped some jewelry and put my hair up in a bun.

Walking back out, there stood Val. He turned and looked shocked, he chockedon the water he was sipping.

Smiling, I rolled my eyes placing my bags on the steps and grabbed the bottle of water and took a sip.

"You comin' with?" I asked dropping the bottle into my bag.

"That party with Bethany and Derek?" He replied, standing up.

I nodded while picking up my bag and making my way out of the building. He followed behind me closely.

Smiling over at Artem, I walked towards him.  "You coming?"

"I'm meeting you there.." He nodded, smiling at me.

I nodded at him and made my way outside and towards my car. Looking over at Val, I unlocked the door for him while I put my gym bag in the trunk. I placed my purse in the back seat. Wehn I got into the driver side of the car, Val was texting someone on his phone.

Pulling my seatbelt on, I started pulling out of the studio and onto the road. Turning on the radio to play softly in the background. Val looked up and over at smiling. I didn't need to take my eye off the road to notice.

"Why are you smiling like that?" I laughed glancing over at him.

"You look beautiful, Jellybean.." He said softly

Glancing at him once more I smiled at him. "Thanks babe.."

I continued driving where we both droned on about the competition and the dance tomorrow night. After an hour drive we arrived and that was seconds after Derek and Mark arrived. Stepping out the car, I placed my purse in the trunk, grabbing my id and some cash.

Grabbing Val's, we made our way to the rest of the rest of the group. We all started making our inside. Once inside, I gave Val a look and went to sit down with Cheryl, Bethany, and Witney. We sat at on of the table and ordered drinks, except Bethany, and were talking about our boys.

The girls and I felt like we had a special bond. We were telling jokes and laughing, talking. After at least twenty minutes, Sadie and Leah came to join the party. Waving them over they instantly joined the conversation.

I excused myself and walked towards the bar, ordering a soda for Sadie, Artem came from around the corner I looked over over at him and smiled.

"Oh look, Mr. Mysterious, have you been hididng from me?" I asked teasing him.

"Of course not, just a busy week. But you look amazing tonight." He spoke.

Smiling at him I raised my eyebrows, I grabbed the soda and turned towards him.

"Cute, keep trying love.." I winked walking back to the table and sat the soda in front of Sadie.

"I need to get going, I'm meeting my boyfriend.." Cheryl said saying goodbye to us.
