Chapter 18

Val and I walked out the doctors office, my ribs were in so much pain after our rehearsal today -- I was stopped in my tracks by Val grabbing my hand.

"What's wrong?" I questioned, stepping back towards him.

"They're all deleted.." Val said.

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"Every girl that I wanted to have a thing with or any women I did have a moment with."

I nodded, taking a step back just watching him. He's been trying to prove his loyalty to me, it was pretty interesting.

"I'll keep proving myself." He nodded, leading me into the car.

Leaning back in the seat, he looked over at me then my wrist.

"Does it still hurt?" He questioned, taking my wrist into his hand.

"It's fine , I just have to wrap it up if it get really bad." I pulled on my seat belt, looking out the window.

From the corner of my eye, Val sighed sadly then pulled out the parking lot.

That Night, I was laying on my couch trying to find something to watch , my body was in pain and all I wanted to do was sleep.

A ringing at the door caught my attention. I got up wrapping my wrist tightly -- when I opened the door, there stood a red-eyed Val.

"Val, it's 12 at night, what are you doing here?" I questioned, finishing the wrap.

"I made him come say sorry.." Val nodded, I looked over behind him to see Maks.

"It's fine.." I looked down at my wrist.

"No it's not, you're never going to forgive me for this, plus he hurt you and I wasn't there to protect you!"

Looking up, I met Maks eyes then unconsciously started shaking a little bit.

"Janel, I'm really sorry and I never meant to hurt you." He said lowly, then nodded towards Val.

"Yeah, it's all good.." I nodded then looking over at Val.

"You didn't have to do all that, I'm not mad at you guys anymore.. Just not really giving you my trust.. Or heart."

I walked away from the door and into my living room, I heard the door shut then footsteps behind me.

"I'm in love with you Janel!" Val said strongly.

The last person to say he was truly in love with me was payson, I turned towards him shocked.

"What?"

"I'm in love with you! Every part of you, the sweet part, the sassy, every little thing about you." He stepped towards me. "I will never hurt you, I'll keep you safe, no matter the hell."

I smiled for the first time is days, he said he was truly in love with me and I can't decide if I should say it back.

Val walked up to me and pulled into a tight hug then kissed the side of neck softly.

"You don't have to say it back, just give me one more chance because I swear nothing like this or worse will ever happen."

"Okay.. I guess." I said in a raspy voice.

I looked up to meet his eyes, there was happiness and I couldn't help but smile back at him a little .
