Chapter 42

My heart was beating too fast , I had to take a second test just to be sure. and oh was it correct. I'm pregnant - I pushed the hair out of my face before texting Meryl and telling her she was right - as usual.

I heard Ana whine a little, I walked back into the room and picked her up, walking down stairs. My phone beeped with a text from Meryl.

Meryl: I told you! I'm always right.. :)

Laughing, I opened the Instagram app and the first photo I noticed was from Val. He posted the photo from a couple nights ago with the caption she said yes - after finding a similar photo I posted it with the green heart.

Some people knew the green heart always meant something when it came to Val - his green eyes and I loved that about him. People exploded my Instagram with heart eyes emojis and congratulations.

A couple minutes later, I posted the photo of me and Ana with the caption 'watching my fav baby Ana. 😇😍'

Ana started whining again, after feeding her she went back to sleep soundly. Only two hours before Brie comes get her and three until Val comes home from New York.

Brie had came to get and Ana and wouldn't stop saying thank you but if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have taken the test.

I sat on the couch watching MTV when a ping came from my phone. It was a text message from Val.

Val: won't be home til the morning. I'm sorry baby girl, give Oreo and Kleo kisses for me. See you soon.

A sigh escaped my lip, of course he wouldn't be home until the morning.

Mark: Val called, need some company ? I'm being Jenna and you can't saying anything about it!

Mark: oh , Emma wants to come too.

Mark: oh , so does Derek..

Mark: oops , you love us anyways.

Me: okay ! I really do love you guys !

Mark: see you soon , seems like I'm a taxi guy tonight :( I hate people!

I laughed and shook my head, I put the trash out then filled Oreo and Kleo's food bowls.

Lucy: hey honey bun , how are you doing?

Lucy: haven't talked in a while ..

Lucy: I miss you so much babe && congrats on the engagement, you two are the cutest little things.

Me: thanks lu , hey if you aren't doing anything you should come over.

Lucy: Sure, I'll try and get down there!

realization struck me that people were coming over , I ran upstairs to take a shower clearly smelling like baby then changed.

I pulled on my all black fit and flare dress with my black and white knee high socks. My hair was pulled into a bun on the top of my head.

My make up was light, it was a simple red lip stain. Once I finished, I walked down the stairs and picked up my phone.

Lucy: Ian said a hello :)

Me: Tell Ian id say hell but he has my number & is he at your house? aw

The doorbell ringing snapped my gaze away from my phone, I heard Jenna yelling out my name.

I ran towards the door and opened it seeing four smiling face..

"Emma.. Jenna.. Derek.. Mark.." I laughed watching them. "Come on in."
