    Dear adults,

    Look around you. Is this the society you want us to grow up to? Are you proud of the world you raised us into? This chaos that you call progress?
    Because from a child's point of view, you guys took our legos and destroyed our city. You took a picture of the pretty sky but photoshopped the pretty out of it. You ruined a masterpiece.
    Did you know about all this? Did you know that when we grew up that racism would destroy and people would pray away the gay? That you'd be thrown out if you didn't act a certain way? That retard would grow to be a curse word and creative would mean stupid?
    When we were bullied in school, you said it got better in the end. But all I see in this wasteland is upgraded intimidators and insults. The strong got stronger and weak got weaker.
    Why did you lie to us? Only showing the perfect and not the flaws? Because instead of teaching us to love ourself, we do the same. Show our perfect moments and aspects and hide what we don't like.
    Why do you call this place home? Because as far as I'm concerned, I'm homeless. I live in a house I love, but it isn't my home. I live in a world I love, but I don't call my own.
    Did you show us this world so we'd make it better or worse? Because this world is scary and it shouldn't be. Pollution shouldn't rule over the air and terrorism shouldn't be a thing. Peace and harmony won't fully exist, but let's get as close to it as we can. If you can't win, at least do your best.
    You told us to never give up on anything, especially what we love. So why'd you give up on fixing the world?
