Chapter 5

"Where are you going?" Daddy asked when he saw me going dowstairs. I hold the hem of my dress and smiled. Kaya mo 'to, Khloe. You've been doing this ever since you met Rey, it's not new for you.

Sinundan din ako ng tingin ni mommy. When she saw my outfit, saglit lang siyang ngumiti pero bumagsak din pagkatapos. Lumapit ako sa kanila sabay halik sa pisngi.

"Attend one of my friend's dinner party. Puwede po ba?" Matagal bago sila sumagot sa akin. Nagkatingin sila at tila sa titigan ay doon sila nag-usap kung papayagan nila akong sumama. Daddy sighed and hold me. Hinila niya ako palapit sa kanila and I hugged his chest.

This is the very first time he did this to me. Yes, I hate him for other reasons. I hate him for being too strict to me. I hate him for acting like he don't trust me as his own daughter. Her only child. I hate how he decides what I need to do in order to excel. But my love for him, as the main reason why I am in this world.

"You're growing too fast, Khloe.." He whispered and kissed my head. Hindi ako nagsalita. I stayed at his side, without creating any words in my mouth. Marami akong gustong sabihin sa kaniya, pero sa tingin ko ay hindi pa ito ang panahon na iyon. Basta iyon ang pakiramdam ko.

"Can I go?" I sighed. "Please?"

Tumingin ako sa dalawa at marahan na tango ang naging sagot nila pagkatapos. I almost jumped from the excitement and happiness I am feeling now but I hugged them tighter and bid a goodbye. Hindi na sila nagtanong kung saan ako pupunta at sino ang kasama ko.

The whole ride from our home to the venue where the dinner will be held was quick. Ka text ko si Rey buong byahe, asking me if I'm on my way na ba and when I finally saw him, standing inbfront of the restaurant, I smiled wider.

"Thank you kuya!" I said to the driver and watched him go drive away. Nang mawala na siya ay tumakbo na ako kay Rey. Nakatalikod na siya sa kung saan ako naka puwesto kaya hinagkan ko siya mula sa likuran mismo.

"I'm here.." I feel safe when I'm with him. The amount of happines inside me is too.. overwhelming that I need to hold him tight so I won't get fall from where I am standing.

"You look beautiful.." Bumaba ang tingin niya sa akin sabay hawak sa bewang ko. "Shall we go inside?"

"Let's go!"

He laughed at my tone but he just pulled me inside. The whole place was filled with rich and golden interior. Lahat ng ginto na nasa pader, na nasa ceiling ay kumikinang dahil sa liwanag na nanggagaling sa chandelier mula roon sa pinaka gitna

Woah. It's my first time here. And I didn't know that it's too fancy once we're inside! "Ang ganda naman dito.." Sabi ko habang nililibot pa rin ang tingin.

"Kuya wants here so pinili namin dito.." Rey murmured.

I grabbed my phone and asked him to take a picture of me. Natawa siya sa reaksyonn ko pero hinayaan niya ako sa gusto kong gawin. He took me a lot of pictures, we took a lot selfies. Hindi namin pansin na nasa likod na pala naman si Sean.

"Sana lahat.." Tumawa kami sa sinabi niya.

"Nandoon na sila lahat?" He asked. Rey nodded and told him he can go inside. Before leaving, tinanong niya kung hindi pa ba kami papasok doon mismo sa dinner table and we told him na papasok na rin.

When I stepped into the door, umakyat bigla ang kaba sa loob ko. Rey noticed it so he looked at me with a confused face. "Bakit?"

Tumingin ako sa kaniya at hinawakan ang dibdib. "Hindi ko alam.. But I'm okay.. Kinakabahan siguro ako.."

"Why would you be nervous? Kilala mo naman na sila lahat.." He assured me. "They like you so much kaya huwag ka nang kabahan.."

He give me kiss on my forehead and it lessens what I have inside. Took a one last deep breath and we faced the familiar faces of their band family.
