DAY 51
"I WAS EXPECTING LESS from your husband hija." Kausap niya ngayon ang kanyang Uncle Rafael. Ito ang current Chairman ng San Vicente Holdings.
"Less? Bakit naman po?" Binisita siya nito sa opisina the moment that she got back from her mandatory one week rest.
"He seemed like a very unreliable person especially sa dami ng hindi magandang naririnig ko sa pamilya nila." Kwento nito. "But seeing how he took care of you and even imposed that you rest, that speaks differently with me."
"He's a good man," si Andrew. Hindi si Adrian.
"I can see that," tumango-tango ito. But I do have to discuss some business with you. "
He is the chairman of the whole company. He's busy but he made time to see her.
"I ought to go kasi kakamustahin talaga kita but so as not to waste this meeting eh mag-usap na din tayo tungkol dun sa timber company sa Cagayan De Oro." She had been eyeing that company for a while now.
"What about it Uncle? Will you lend me capital to buy it?" She asked, akala mo bata siya dahil sa saya.
"Bakit ka ba kasi humihiram pa? SVI can handle it all on its own. She has to segregate her funds well para naman hindi siya mamroblema sa pondo.
"But I can't let go of other good buys Uncle. I can triple the ROI on this one, promise. She was already imagining the benefits kahit wala pa at nasa negotiation process pa siya sa pagbili ng kompanya.
"How sure are you that you can acquire it?" Mabait ang tiyo niyang ito but he is still a businessman and she has to present results para naman bigyan siya ng pondo nito.
"I'm flying to Cagayan in three days to meet with the owner, Uncle. I've been in constant talks with them since last year." She smiled. She just has to settle with a price and monitor the process itself.
"After buying it, ano ang plano mo? Macro-management?" He asked.
"I'll stay there for a month or two to study it at tsaka ako maglalagay ng tao kapag alam ko na ang sistema."
"That's right." Tumango ito. "So, I guess this is me approving your loan."
"Thank you Uncle! You're the best."
She is indeed close with her Uncle Rafael but that couldn't measure up to how much she loves her father. Bobbie does compartmentalize about work pero she has no other hero besides her Lolo but her father.
"Hindi naman po, I admire him more. Pinalaki niya ako eh." Simpleng yabang lang talaga. "Imagine, he managed to raise me, and all alone at that."
Her father didn't want to involve a woman in her life who wouldn't love her as much as he did. He only married when he knew that Bobbie understood the concept of marriage and that she can choose to be with a new adult in her life.
