DAY 67

"ARE YOU GOING TO avoid me forever?" Natigilan si Bobbie sa paglalakad papunta sa sasakyan niya sa driveway nung instead na ang driver niya ay si Andrew ang kanyang nakita. He was comfortably leaning against her black car.

"Nasaan yung driver ko?" She asked pero mahina lang kasi magmumukha silang nag-aaway.

"Here," he stood up straight and smiled. "I sent your driver home."

"Bakit naman?" Hindi naman siya makatingin ng maaayos sa lalaki. She keeps on remembering the moment that they kissed. It just keeps on replaying in her head like crazy. Nababaliw na siya. It's not as if wala pa siyang nahalikan ever before. She's kissed so many frogs while looking for her prince.

"Because of this," nagulat nanaman siya kasi ang lapit nanaman nila. "Sakay ka na. Gusto mo pa bang dito tayo mag-usap?"

"No," mabilis pa sa alas kwatro na sumakay siya. She even almost immediately buckled herself in.

Si Andrew naman ay nakangiti lang habang nagmamaneho papunta sa kung saan. Hindi niya ito tinanong kasi naaasiwa na talaga siya. How can she be like this? Hindi naman na siya virgin na never been kissed pero mukhang ganun ang ginagawa niya. It is just a kiss. What more kung mas intense pa ang nangyari sa kanila? She would be mental right now probably.

As the drive went on longer ay hindi na niya natiis at nagtanong na siya sa lalaki. Napansin na din kasi niyang hindi na ang daan papunta sa bahay ang tinatahak nito.

"Do you even know where we're going? Hindi ito ang daan papuntang bahay." They are headed towards the opposite direction.

"Oo naman," nilingon siya nito as he smiled. Why does he smile so much? "Nakarating nga ako nun sa bahay nung lumuwas ako diba? I've lived in Manila long enough to remember."

"Eh saan nga tayo pupunta?" She asked. Alam din naman niya ang area pero hindi niya alam ang end destination nila.

"We're gonna go out and eat. Hindi ka pa naman kumakain ng dinner diba? Nagpareserve ako sa isang restaurant." Paliwanag nito sa kanya.

As she stared at Andrew in disbelief kasi gumawa ito ng plano without even consulting her ay napansin niya ang aliwalas ng mukha ni Andrew. He was just happy and light. He was so warm, something she's never seen in any of the men who walked by her life. He's the odd one in all of them pero sa lalaki siya pinaka-uncomfortable for some unknown reason.

"Bakit tayo kakain sa labas? Anong meron?"

"Wala lang, hindi mo pa ba to in-expect after last night?" He said.

"What happened last night?" She feigned laughter. "It was just a kiss. First time mo?"

"Ikaw yung namula na parang first time mo eh." Nakita niyang ngumiti ang lalaki.

"Hindi kaya." Umiling siya at nag-focus na lang uli sa daan. "Where are we even going? I don't just eat anywhere."

"I think magugustuhan mo yun kasi I did my research." Bobbie will not doubt that kasi he was always attentive to her. Something which was, again, absolutely foreign to her.

And he was right, they parked in front of her favorite restaurant. It's not the fancy restaurant that people would expect her to eat at all the times. It was a small homegrown café in the quiet corner of the Quezon City business district. She always goes here kapag pagod na pagod siya and everything is stressing her out. This is her safe space.

"Tumama ba ako?" He asked habang nakatayo sila sa labas ng restaurant.

"How did you know about this place? Kahit si Adrian hindi to alam. He just takes me to really fancy restaurants. Hindi naman masarap ang pagkain." She walked fast on her way to the entrance of the restaurant before looking back at Andrew. "Nagugutom na ako, di ka pa ba papasok?"
