DAY 61
"I WILL TAKE GOOD CARE of the company Mr. Santos. It's time na makasama mo naman full time ang family mo abroad."
"You've convinced me well enough. He has been flying in and out of the country just to continue to manage the company. He's already created other business but this one is his baby.
Bobbie has devoted a lot of her time in convincing the man that it's time to live a life with the ones he love. And that is what she did for months on end because of this company. For her it was all about the gain but for Mr. Santos, it was about having time for his family. It was a good business move for her, yun lang naman palagi ang batayan niya.
She smiled.
"Well, I do have to train you for the management.
"How long will you stay for that sir?"
"A few weeks, I guess. Nasa Manila ang pamilya ko ngayon kaya pupunta muna ako doon for a week tapos babalik ako dito. I will schedule the training in a week's time." Tumayo ito kasunod ng abogado nito. "I will have Atty. Rocha contact you about anything else. I'll see you next week."
Nang matapos ang meeting ay umalis na din agad ang dating may ari ng kompanya, this all hers now. The next step would be to acclimate and improve the business. She roamed around the facility a bit kasama ang kaibigan at abogado na si Lance. He's the Director for Legal Affairs ng SVI. She wanted to familiarize herself with the place and some of the people.
"Bobbie San Vincente does it again," sabi sa kanya ni Lance habang naglalakad sila sa paligid.
Day-off ng karamihan ng mga tauhan ngayon kaya umiikot lang talaga sila, not expecting to see much work done. They replace the trees they cut immediately after uprooting. It will take a lot of time to grow but it creates an environment of sustainability the best it could. The trees they've first cut down are the same trees they're cutting down after all these years.
"When do I not deliver Lance?" she totally looks smug right now. "I told Uncle Rafael that I will do this so I just did it, I must. Dapat lang talaga alam mo kung paano umikot ang isang tao, it's almost a give and take. I just have to make sure na ang makukuha ko ay gusto ko."
How is it anyway?" He has always been a good friend to her kaya noong mag-open up ang posisyon ay si Lance agad ang kinuha niya, she trusts the man.
"Being married? It's fine," she smiled awkwardly. "As if naman hindi mo alam."
Lance Madrigal has been married for at least five years now to one of her closest friends too, Elizabeth Tuazon-Madrigal. They have two darling children that she likes to spoil sometimes.
"Alam mo naman kami ni Adrian, this is all business."
