Thorn's Point Of View

I hated mornings. I hated everything they stood for. I hated the way my alarm clock made me want to punch someone in the face. I hated the way my head ached from the lack of sleep. I groaned and pushed myself to a sitting position. My alarm clock was going crazy, making me very annoyed.

''TURN THAT DAMN THING OFF!'' The voice of my older brother came from the other side of the wall. If only I could show that damn alarm clock down his throat to make him shut up.

I reached over to my night stand and turned the alarm clock off. It was half seven. Way too early for anybody to be awake. Who even thought that it was alright for school to start at eight in the morning?
I was already late so showering was out of the question this morning. I got out of my bed and stepped over the empty beer cans and dirty clothes until I reached my bathroom.

After finding the cleanest t shirt and jeans from my floor, I grabbed my bag - after I searched for it for a good five minutes - and made my way to the kitchen.
The whole house was quiet, everyone was still asleep. Of course they were. My father and brother didn't get up until noon. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my cigarette pack and took out one cigarette and lit it. Oh it felt so good, no need for breakfast when you got a fag.
It was ten to eight and it usually took me twenty minutes to get to school, well seems like Ms. Crow will have to lecture me about being late again. I was really looking forward to her little head turning red and her blonde hair bopping all over the place as she shouts at me for being late. She was a fit teacher, probably the only reason why I loved English.

''Theodore Lance'' Ms. Crow said calmly when I entered the classroom. Everybody was staring at me as if they weren't used to me showing up to school late.
''Thorn'' I corrected her.
'Your name is Theodore, now sit down'' She said and pointed to my seat, the front desk right beside her desk. Not that I'm complaining, especially when she wore low cut tops, I felt like the king.
''Still Thorn'' I murmured and sat down.
''Now, over the weekend I asked you to write an essay. Theodore you can stop pretending to look for it I know you didn't do it. Detention after school'' Ms. Crow said without even looking at me. I put my bag down and leaned back into my chair. High school seemed like a very great place. Who cared if I had to stay after school for another hour or two, I wasn't keen on going home anyway.

''Rose, this isn't acceptable'' Ms. Crow was speaking, I turned my head and looked at her tight ass. She was standing beside a desk where a red hair chick sat. Staring up at Ms. Crow as if she had just been accused of murder. The geeks, always thinking their life will end if they didn't do they homework.
'Í'm sorry, I completely forgot, I never forget these things'' The girl spoke, her face turning the same colour as her hair. I couldn't stop but laugh at the sight.
''Turn around Thorn'' Ms. Crow shouted at me and I laughed even more.
'It's Thorn now is it?'' I commented and turned to face the blackboard.
'I'd like to see you after school, Rose''
''But Miss-''
'After school, now who else forgot their homework?''

The rest of the class dragged on. English was boring and it seemed like Ms. Crow was in a very special mood. Screaming and shouting at everyone for no reason. Don't get me wrong, it was hot to watch her freak out over shit.
''For our Christmas assignment I am pairing you all in teams of two.'' Ms. Crow stood up from her desk and walked to the front of the class.
''You will have to come up with a small play for the drama club. Who ever has the best one will be played out by the people who run the drama club.'' Half of the class groaned, including me. Great, a play, could things get worse?
'Rose and'' Ms. Crow glanced at me and then back at that girl. ''Theodore'' She smiled.
''Since you two are in detention today you can start on your play this evening'' Ms. Crow smiled once more before the class ended.
Rose, great, at least I wouldn't have to do any work. She seemed like a geek and could do it all herself.
I got out of the class as fast as I could before the Fire Head could talk to me and discuss her plans about the play. I was sure she already had it all planned out and only needed me to sign my name on the page.

''Don't forget about detention'' I heard Ms. Crow shout as I walked down the hall to my next class. But before I got to the class I was sure I could squeeze in a five minute break for a fag. Oh I loved that stuff, it took off the edge.
