Thorn's Point Of View.
I opened my eyes, it felt like they were full of needles. I was cold and dizzy. I didn't even know where I was. Someone was waking me up, or trying to kill me, I didn't know.
''Theo?'' a girl said, she called me Theo. Nobody had ever called me that since my mum died. What if I was dead. What if that was my mother? I shut my eyes.
''Theo, please wake up'' The tone of the voice seemed urgent. All of a sudden I realized who the voice belonged to. What was Fire Head doing here? Where was here?
''R-Rose?'' I croaked, my voice didn't sound like my own. My throat ached, it felt like I hadn't had a drink in over a week.
''Oh Theodore, we have to get you to a hospital.'' Rose said. I felt her warm hand on my shoulder.
I felt too tired to reply. I couldn't even open my eyes anymore. After a moment I couldn't hear anything anymore.
Rose's Point Of View.
I watched as the paramedics carried him into the ambulance.
''Do you know him?'' One of the paramedics asked. He was hovering over me.
''Yes.'' I replied, still watching Theodore.
''Are you family?'' The man asked. I shook my head
''Girlfriend?'' He asked and I looked a him.
''If you don't know this man, I will have to ask you to leave.'' He said, I glanced at Theodore lying inside the ambulance. I didn't even have to care, I didn't even have to go with him. I didn't have to see if he will be alright. But part of me felt like I needed to.
''I am his girlfriend.'' I replied, feeling odd saying that, but I had to say something.
''Alright'' The man said, he didn't seem like he believed me but I didn't need him to believe me. He walked over to the ambulance and helped me inside.
''How is he?'' I asked the other paramedic who was sitting across from me. On the other side of Theodore.
''He seems to be extremely dehydrated. It looks like he had had a major head trauma. His blood pressure is really low, but he will recover.'' The man said and I only nodded, looking down at Theodore.
''He might need to stay in the hospital over night. However, once he is home, he should get a lot of rest and should avoid any consumption of alcohol.''
''Ok.'' I whispered, reaching out and putting my hand on Theodore's. I couldn't quite understand why I felt the need to be with him here. I mean, maybe I would do the same to anyone. I just wanted him to be well. School could wait today. I could miss one day, I'm sure nobody would even notice I wasn't there.
Moments later the ambulance stopped and the back door opened. A pair of doctors were already standing there helping the paramedic pull out Theodore from the ambulance. They brought him in and I followed.
''We will need to examine him, once we are done you can go in and see him.'' A doctor had walked up to me. I didn't reply, just nodded.
I sat down in the waiting area and looked at the clock on my phone. It was already half seven. I should have been back for breakfast. I wondered what my mum was going to say.
Precisely twenty four minutes later the same Doctor who spoke to me earlier walked up to me.
''He is fine, he is awake and apart from a mild concussion, everything else is fine. Anyway, he should be able to go home this evening.'' The doctor smiled.
