Thorn's Point Of View.
(Note. I didn't read over this so it could have some gramatical errors, or words missing etc. I am really tired so sorry if this chapter doesn't live up to my usual standards.)
I walked to the kitchen to get something to eat or even drink but realized that I was completely out of everything. All that I could offer Ella and Rose was water. I sighed and checked if I had any money. To my surprise, I didn't. There was only one person I knew could help me out. After all, I did need some food to live off of until my father decided to come back.
I walked back to the living room where Rose and Ella were chatting away. I didn't even pay, or well I couldn't pay attention to what they were talking about. I stood in the doorway and watched as Rose's face light when she laughed. How could anybody not fall for this girl? I had only spent a few days with her and I couldn't stop thinking about her.
I cleared my throat loud enough for them to hear and know that I was there. They both stopped talking and looked up at me.
''I need to head out and buy a few things.'' I said.
''Oh, don't do that, we don't need anything fancy.'' Rose smiled. It seemed like she was getting back to her usual self.
''I still need to get some things, I'll be back in a few minutes.'' I said.
''Alright.'' Rose replied with a smile. I had the urge to kiss her but with Ella in the room I didn't feel quite so comfortable doing so.
''I'll see you soon.'' I said.
''You too.'' Rose said.
''Bye'' Ella said.
With a final glance at Rose I left the living room and then the house. I knew Jared was going to be home so I walked to his house. I was kind of feeling bad for being bad for shouting at Alice but she crossed the line. I just hopping she wasn't going to be at Jared's place, I didn't feel like seeing her and talking about Rose with her. I didn't even know what her problem with Rose was. I could have just been over thinking this. Maybe Alice didn't have a problem with Rose, maybe she had a problem with me. Whatever it was, I didn't feel like dwelling on it for too long.
Jared didn't live too far from my house. It only took me ten minutes to get to his place. He lived in a pretty good area with his parents. They were both loaded so Jared could get what he wanted.
I got to the big red door of the three storey mansion and rang the doorbell. Moments later Jared opened the door.
''Hey listen man.'' I began.
''How much do you need?'' Jared asked, already knowing why I was here. I only ever came up to his house when I needed money. Jared knew of my situation so he always was glad to help me out.
''Not much, fifty would be enough.'' I said.
Jared reached into his back pocket and pulled out his black leather wallet. I watched as he opened it and pulled out a fifty. As he did something came out with it and fell on the floor.
I was reached down to pick it up.
''Wait man.'' Jared said leaning down too.
''I got it.'' I said picking it up and almost handing it over to him. But before I did that I caught a glimpse of a read head. No, it couldn't be.
''Thorn look.'' Jared said as I unfolded the paper.
''I wouldn't'' Jared said but didn't stop me from looking at it.
I felt anger rise up in my gut as I stared at the photograph of me and Rose kissing. The same photo that was on that damn poster today at school.
''You'' I shouted.
''It wasn't me, I swear'' Jared said, raising his arms up in defence.
''How do you explain this then?'' I kept my voice loud.
''I mean, I took the picture but I didn't do the rest. I got paid to take it.'' Jared said.
''By who, who paid you and why?'' I shouted, feeling extremely angry. I made a fist and had to restrain myself from punching Jared in the face.
'' I can't tell you.'' Jared said. White as the snow behind me.
''You will tell me before I break your nose.'' I said stepping forward. Jared was obviously weaker than me, he was shorter and didn't even have any muscle. He was frightened of me and at that point I wanted him to be scared.
''I..I..T-Thorn'' Jared stammered.
''You will tell me.'' I hissed in his face.
''Alice.'' He blurted.
