Thorn's Point Of View.
Monday were a drag, especially this one. I felt so tired. Shouldn't have gone to sleep at one am last night. But what else could I have done?
I hadn't gone to any of my other classes that day. I spent the majority of the day outside smoking. Jared and Alice were with me the whole day too. What was the point in trying to learn crap that made no sense anyway?
Shouldn't have gone to English this morning either. I regretted that decision the moment I was paired up with the Fire Head to do that damn play. I mean who can write plays? Didn't that Shakespeare woman write plays? Plus, that stubborn Fire Head didn't even take up my offer of me not helping out. I was sure she would have loved the idea of me not ruining her project.
''You alright'' Jared suddenly spoke. I looked up from the piece of gum that I was staring at and cocked my head.
''What?'' I asked with a cigarette dangling from my lips.
''You seem distant man'' Jared said puffing a cloud of smoke out of his mouth. My back was pressed against the back of a prefab. We called it the smokers Prefab and that was pretty much what it was.
''He's thinking of that girl'' Alice said as she lit another fag.
''The red haired one?'' Jared asked.
''Yeah, who else?''
I shook my head, I didn't have time for these assholes.
''I'm going to be late for detention'' I said and threw my fag on the ground and stood on it. Without even saying bye to Jared and Alice I walked to the school. I was ten minutes late for detention. This was going to be fun. I bet Ms. Crow couldn't wait to scream at me. I couldn't wait either.
I grabbed my bag from my locker and walked to the English classroom. This was going to be fun, no doubt. Writing a play with the Fire Head, couldn't wait to get started!
''Sorry I'm late'' I said once I opened the door. But soon realized that there was nobody to hear my sincere apology.
I walked inside the classroom and it was empty, looks like I was the first one here. Detention started at three. I looked at the clock that was on the wall above the black board and it said it was twenty past three. Had everyone died? That would have been convenient.
''Mr. Lance, about time'' I heard the voice of Ms. Crow behind me.
''You mean, about time for you'' I turned around and smirked at her.
''We're in the auditorium, if you had showed up on time you would have known this'' Ms. Crow put her hands on her small waist.
''Of course'' I wiggled my eyebrows.
''Let's go'' She got out of the doorway and let me past her. I walked in front of her, no doubt she was checking me out, who wouldn't?
The auditorium was empty except for one red head in the front row. This was going to be the best hour of my life. I walked down the small steps until I got to the front row. Fire Head looked up and smiled. Nice people, how annoying.
''Finally'' She said, holding a pen in her left hand and a notebook on her legs. Long legs, I was a guy, I noticed these things.
''Right as if I was going to miss this'' I tried to put as much sarcasm as I possibly could into that sentence.
''I'll be backstage helping the drama club with props and things, I hope you two get a lot of work done'' Ms. Crow said walking up the small steps that lead to the stage.
