Thorns' Point Of View.
Friday morning the doctors came into my room and told me that if I wanted to I could go home. That the wound had healed but I still needed to take it easy. I was looking forward to getting out of this place.
The police had been with me two days ago and told me that they had found my father and had arrested him. I, even though he was my father, felt happy. I couldn't wait to start a new and a better life without him in it. My brother had returned home and even visited me. We had a long talk and we made up. It seemed like the only reason why he got drunk and did other shit was because of our father. He told me he was sorry for being a crappy older brother in the moment that I needed someone the most. I told him about Rose and he was surprised to know that I was actually in a relationship.
Rose and I had finished the play last night and today she was at school. I had grown to like her so much I felt like I couldn't go a day without seeing her or talking to her.
I had also quit smoking, it was quite weird because I never even thought of doing that, but ever since I had started spending time with Rose, the fags weren't on my mind.
''You ready to go?'' Alex, my older brother asked.
I was sitting on my bed and he was standing behind the wheel chair that the nurse told me to use for a while. Walking could cause some pain in my side so if I wanted to go home I needed to be in a wheelchair. I didn't mind, as long as I wasn't here.
''I am.'' I said and got off the bed and sat myself down in the wheel chair.
''Wheres your girlfriend?' Alex asked as he wheeled me out of the room.
''School'' I replied and didn't get a reply from Alex.
Once outside, Alex brought me to his car. He too seemed to have sobered up and gotten a job. I was quite happy and I knew that things were going to be good from now on.
The journey home was quiet but no words were needed. It was peaceful.
Once we approached our house I noticed that Rose's car was in the driveway. I looked at Alex who had a smug look on his face.
''Wha-''
''I'll wheel you in, and then I won't disturb you.'' Alex grinned and parked the car.
I wondered what he was up to. I wondered why Rose was here and not at school.
Alex got out of the car and walked to the back and got out the wheelchair. He then walked to my side of the car and opened the door.
I carefully stepped outside and sat down.
''Be safe.'' Alex said and wheeled me up to the front door.
He opened the door and left me in the hallway and walked away.
I laughed at how eager he was to leave.
''Rose?'' I called, putting my hands on the wheels and wheeling myself further into the house. It felt normal to be back here, the thoughts of my father stabbing me in the living room seemed to have vanished. I didn't even think that it was necessary to dwell on people that only put me down.
I wheeled myself into the kitchen where I found a very happy Rose sitting on the kitchen counter, holding at least five big balloons that said ''Welcome Back'' on them.
I had to suppress a grin as I looked at my Rose.
''Hey you.'' She smiled and jumped off the counter, still holding onto the balloons.
''Hey you'' I repeated what she said.
She slowly walked over to me and let go of the balloons. They were filled with helium so they floated up to the ceiling.
''You're home.'' She whispered.
''I'm home.'' I replied and felt the need to hold her. I stretched out my arms and took hold of hers.
''What are you doing?'' She asked.
''Sit.' I said and glanced down at my lap. She seemed to hesitate.
''What if-'' She began but I cut her off by pulling her on me.
She let out a loud laugh and grinned.
''You're the Rose to my Thorn'' I whispered into her ear.
''You're the Thorn to my Rose.'' She replied and leaned in to kiss me.
GOSH. it's over lol, I kind of liked writing this, but at the end it kind of started to bother me because it didn't follow the exact plot that I had thought of. But anyway, it was for a challenge and I hope that whoever you are that is reading, enjoyed it. Thank you and yes it's over lol. read my other stuff if you want :DD
