Chapter 54

It's 11:30 A.M., I laid in bed with Alyssa next to me scrolling through Twitter. My phone started buzzing, and a picture of Sam and I popped up. I answered and his face popped up. "Hey" "Hey what're you doing" "Can you come pick me up" he asks rumbling around. "What? Where are you?" "At the airport" he says turning the camera around "What?!" I yell getting out of bed. "Yeah" "Ok I'm on my way" I say. I grabbed a hoodie and carried Alyssa downstairs. "Mom I'm going to pick up Sam" "What?" "He's at the airport" "Ok drive safe" she says and I hand her Alyssa. I grabbed my keys and ran to my car. I got in and drove to the airport. I quickly parked and got down. I looked around for Sam and found him with his luggage. "Sam!" I yelled and he looked up. He started walking to me and I ran to him and hugged him so hard. "I missed you so much" I say and he lifts me off the floor. I wrapped my legs around his torso and he kept his arms wrapped around my torso tightly. "Sam I've missed you so much" I say and a tear slips from my eyes. "I missed you too baby girl" he says and kisses my cheek. I awkwardly got down, "Ready?" I asked and he nods. We got in my car and caught up the whole way home. "My house or yours?" I asked. "Yours" I parked in my driveway and he got his luggage and brought it in my house. Alyssa was playing with her toys on the floor. She looked up, "Sammy" she says clapping and crawls towards him. He took off his Ray-bans and picked her up. "Hi princess" he says and kisses her cheek. "I missed you" he says and tickles her. I smiled at how cute they were together, "Sam" my mom says coming out of the kitchen. "Hi love, I've missed you. It's weird not having you here everyday" she says and Sam smiles. "I miss it here, Florida is so different. It's either super sunny, raining or both. Its really hot" he says and I laugh. "Are you staying for dinner?" "I would love to" he says and smiles. "Ok well you two can go catch up I'll see you later" my mom says and walks back into the kitchen. Sam and I walked upstairs while he held Alyssa. "When can I meet Cameron" he asks as we walk into my room. "Whenever" I say smiling big and sitting crisscross applesauce on my bed. He looked at a picture of us I had in my room, "I remember that day, that was on our first date" he said and I smiled at the memory. He sat next to me with Alyssa on his lap. "Sammy" she says and kisses his cheek. "I think someone missed me" he says and I smile. "I missed you" I say and lean my head on his shoulder falling over. "I missed you too baby girl" he says kissing the top of my head. My phone rang and a picture of Cameron and I kissing popped up, I smiled and answered. "Hey babe" "Hey cutie what're you doing" "Sam's in town so we're hanging out" "What? Your with Sam?" "Yeah is there a problem" "I know you guys have some history" "Yeah we do. Is there a problem" I ask again in an annoyed and furious tone. "Yeah there is" "And what must it be" I ask getting up and walking out of my room. "I don't want you hanging out with Sam" "And who the fuck do you think you are telling me who I can and can't hang out with?!" "Um well I'm your boyfriend" "We can arrange that" I say and he stays quiet. "I gotta go" I say and hang up. I slowly slid down the wall and brought my knees up to my chest. I leaned my head on my elbow and rolled my eyes shaking my head. A tear rolled down my face, it wasn't a long relationship but I liked him a lot and Sam's my best friend. "Hey baby girl you okay?" Sam asks sitting next to me. "Yeah I'm fine" I say wiping my tears and getting up. "You sure baby" he asks getting up, "Yes I'm fine" he says and pulls me into a hug. I hugged him back and lightly cried into his chest. "What happened baby?" he asks and we walk back to my room and sit on my bed. "Cameron was being a little bitch" I told him what happened and he hugged me. "So... did you guys break up?" he asks and I sigh. "I think so" I say and he smirks. "Can I?" he asks looking from my eyes down to my lips. He slowly leaned in and we were inches apart. I broke the space between us and kisses him. He kissed back. I missed his lips so much. I pulled away and he smiled and kissed me again. Sam, Alyssa and I watched movies and Sam and I cuddled till my mom called us down for dinner. Sam and I walked down with Alyssa and I sat her in her high chair. I fed her her food and then served myself. We talked and my mom talked to Sam about college and such. There was a knock on the door, "I'll get it" I say getting up and answering the door. I opened it and saw Cameron standing outside. "Hey can we uh... talk?" he asks and I nod and sigh before walking outside. "Abi I'm sorry about over reacting and acting like a total dick earlier. I should've trusted you, I know Sam's your best friend and I'm sorry. I like you a lot and, I don't want to lose you" he says and looks down. "I like you too and I'm sorry for blowing up on you like that. I understand where your anger came from. I don't know if id be okay with you being around your ex but he's my best friend and I'm sorry. I would've told you he was coming sooner but I kind of didn't know till he called me this morning" "I'm really sorry" "It's fine. I'm sorry to-" I say and he smashes his lips into mine. I pulled away, "Cameron I should probably tell you. Um, Sam and I... kissed" "What? oh um" he stayed quiet for a second. "Abi I know, or I hope you like me but I know you really like Sam and like I said you guys have a lot of history. I think we should break up. I know you still love Sam, you talk about him all the time and I see it in your eyes when you talk about him and how happy you look in all those pictures with him. I'm not mad or anything and hopefully we can still be friends" he says and kisses my cheek. "I'll see you later" he says walking down from my porch and driving away.
