Tryouts

Tris POV
Here's how Tryout Day works: instead of going to your classes like normal you go to the different tryouts around the day. Each sport has it's own time and how you know when to go is they will call out which tryout is going on instead of having classes and a bell. For example; Basketball is 1st tryout and Football is 6th tryout. Some of the tryouts go after school. When you are not trying out then you can pick a random classroom and do your homework.
I hear the intercom call out tryout number 3 which is track. I am already in my track clothes so I take my time walking out to the felid outside. When I get there I see one thing I'm excited about and one thing I dread. Luke is sitting there on a bench waving to me and Four and his friends and standing in a circle laughing about who knows what.
"I didn't know you wanted to do track" I say to Luke.
"Ya I have always wanted to do it but they didn't have it at my old school" He replies. We wait until they start separating the boys and girls then go our desperate ways.
They start dividing us into our categories. If you run 100meters you go first, then 200m, then 400, then 800, then 1600, last 3200.You can run three so I'm doing the 100, 400 and 800.
As I'm about to go up for the 100 I feel warm breath on my neck. I hold my breath knowing who it is. The strong hand brush the hair of my pony tail out of the way. The deep voice then whispers "Go luck Stiff, your going to need it." That's when I feel the figure walk away. I then breath again and watch as Four walks away from me.

Luke POV
I look over my shoulder and see Four walk up to Tris and whisper something in her ear. My stomach fills with jealousy. How could I be so stupid to think a girl like Tris would like me! I mentally slap myself wishing I could stop feeling the things that I do for her. I look over at her again only to see Tris standing there terrified as he finishes talking to her, and relived when he walks away. My heart fills with relief, but Four better not have done anything to her or I will kick his butt.
Tris steps up to the track and the alarm sounds. I stare in awe. She is so fast, it's amazing. She wins by a landslide. She is beaming with pride and I grin. She looks over at me and I give her a thumbs up while she giggles. After that Tris goes and wins her other races too!
When it's my turn I go off and win my three races also. I didn't race against a Four because I did the long distance races and he did the sprints, but I'm usually a sprinter so if I make the team I will be racing him. Game on Four, Game on.

Tris POV
I walk into the gym and see all the gymnastic equipment set up. I walk up to the coach who explains how it all works then sends us off. First thing I do is my floor routine which is to the song Primadonna by Marina and the Diamonds. Next I do the beam, I start really well but I stumble on my dismount. Next is the uneven bars which goes great I just started kind of shaky. Last is the vault and I nailed it. I way not be the best in the group but at least I made an impression.

Luke POV
I'm so thrilled! I did awesome at football tryouts. They were 5th Tryout so I know Tris told me she had 4th tryout gymnastics. I am about to leave to go home (students can leave after 6th tryout) when I see Tris walk on to the felid for cheerleading tryouts. I am shocked! She looks over at me and points to her friend Christina and mouths "She made me" causing me to laugh my head off. She looks absolutely miserable. For cheer tryouts the coach sits on the side and takes notes while the Captain from last year reaches routines. The Captain last year happens to be Lauren, which makes no sense considering she is about as good at it as an elephant would be.
I honestly expect Tris to mess up a lot but she doesn't, she does the opposite! She doesn't even realize it but she is fantastic! Everything she does is on point and she is in perfect rhythm with the music. I have a feeling that she will be Captain, and the cutest thing in the world is that she came up to me and told me she did terrible.
