Robotnik, Scratch, and Grounder (who was still weeping over his tracks) creeped in the endless tunnels of this labyrinth. Let's just say they were stuck in labyrinth zone. "Boooossssss, moaned Grounder. I'm tired"
"You are the one with wheels you nuisance!" came the nasty reply.
"Yeah", said Grounder coldly, "broken ones!"
"Oh shut up!" Said Robotnik giving in. He bent down to examine his wheels. Scratch had the distinct feeling to give the man a boot up the bottom.
His leg twitched.
Robotnik realigned the caterpillar tracks and used a Ruby to secure them.
"There you go you horrible little mole!"
"Thanks Doctor" replied Grounder literally oblivious to the insult.
"Now we CLUCK can ride on him!" screeched the chicken .
"Indeed said Robotnik as he scrambled onto Grounders back followed by Scratch.
"DRIVE!" shouted Robotnik and all at once they began passing at speed down the tunnels. Grounder was huffing and puffing again and he rattled like a baby toy. They than began driving up a steep tunnel and the light was surely coming towards them.....
But the weight of the two people was insufficient. Grounder slowly slipped backwards.
"GROUNDER NO!" shouted Robotnik and Scratch.
"Y-you guys are t-too heavy....." panted the robot. Then he slipped all together and Scratch and Robotnik plunged back down into the dark abyss...
However, Grounder with the weight off him, could hold on.
"They may be gone he thought but that doesn't mean I can't build Metal Sonic!" Grounder slid open a compartment in his belly.
Millions of diamonds sat inside. Millions which could be used to build Project Metal.....
He made a triumphant drilling noise and trundled out into the outside...
Meanwhile...
Robotnik and Scratch landed in a heap. Where where they?
Robotnik looked up his eyes sparkled with wonder. They were in a village made entirely out of what looked like crystals.
"Holy sh-" he was interrupted by two maroon echidnas grabbing him and Scratch.
"Unhand me rats!" screamed Scratch. Do you know who I am? I am Scratch the Supreme ruler of Chickens..."
One of the echidnas punched Scratches throat and he was silenced. They sighed in relief as they couldn't hear his annoying voice anymore.
"You Mr Robotnik said one of them, are trespassing in our world." We will take you to the Empress of Echidnas. She will know what to do with you.."
They dragged Robotnik and Scratch into the valley and passing residents of the village booed at them. Robotnik was trying to control his fury as he was pelted with rotten tomatoes.
