MADISON

THIS party is much bigger than the one Kassie and I went to last weekend. Someone rented out a local club for the night, so as soon as Kassie and I walked through the door, two big X's were drawn on both of our hands.

"I can't wait till I'm twenty-one. This really kill my vibe." She holds up her hand and frowns.

I laugh and look around for Andrew. The lights are flashing and the music is thumping. People are dancing everywhere, so I'm sure I will have a hard time finding him. I grab my phone and send him a text letting him know I'm here.

"There's Cameron! Come on." She grabs my wrist and pulls me through the sea of sweaty bodies.

Cameron is sitting on a couch in the corner of the room. I notice there's a guy next to Cameron with black hair and a sleeve. He has his arm wrapped around Claire and is whispering something in her ear that makes her cheeks redden. I guess that's Jordan. Kassie was right, he definitely doesn't look Claire's type, but she looks happy.

Kaiden is sitting in the corner, on his phone. When I glance over at him, he quickly looks back down at his phone.

"Glad to see you two could make it." Cameron grins and pulls Kassie down to sit on his lap. She giggles and wraps her arms around his neck.

There's only one place left to sit and it's next to Kaiden, so I decide to stand.

I look around for Andrew again. He still hasn't texted me.

"You can sit down; I promise I won't bite." Kaiden pats the spot next to him.

"I'm okay." I'm really not. I feel awkward standing here, looking out of place.

"Madison, quit being stubborn and sit down." He says.

I just shake my head. I really wish Andrew would answer my text or at least show up somewhere.

I almost fall when Kaiden reaches out and grabs my waist, then pulls me back against the couch. I fall into the spot next to him.

"Jesus, I think I just flashed everyone!" I smooth my skirt down and cross my legs. This corner has very dim lighting, so maybe no one noticed.

"Don't worry, nobody is complaining." Kaiden grins smugly.

I roll my eyes. Then I notice the blunt in his hand. Oh no. This is not going to be a repeat of last week.

"I'm not smoking that, so don't even offer." I point to the blunt and lighter in his hands.

"Why? Afraid you'll kiss me again?" He chuckles and sparks the lighter, then brings the flame to the end of the cigar filled with marijuana.

"No, I'm just not interested in getting high with you again." I cross my arms over my chest.

"It was a fun time though, don't you think?" He brings the blunt to his lips and inhales. Seconds later, the smoke flows out his nose, kind of resembling steam coming out of a dragon's nose.

"Do you know where Andrew is?" I snap. I've had enough sitting over here with him.

"No, do you?" He offers me to the blunt.

I push his hand away. "I'm serious, Kaiden."

"So am I, Madison. Last time I saw him, he was with Callie. They're probably fucking upstairs or something. You need to relax." He chuckles and leans back against the couch.

A pang of I-don't-know-what goes through my chest. Surely, Andrew would not be doing that with her upstairs at a club. He's just not that kind of guy.
