KAIDEN

STUPID fucking Alyssa. Standing here, looking at the damage done to Madison's room and belongings, is one of those moments I would love nothing more than to punch myself in the face. It's my fault this is happening. I should've never dated Alyssa. I should've never got her hooked. I should've never cut her off.

"I'm sorry. I promise I'll buy you anything you want." I try my best to comfort Madison. She keeps asking me for more X, but I won't give it to her so she can use it as a solution for her problems. That's how addiction starts.

"Can we just go home? I want to take a nap." She wipes her tears and I help by wiping the mascara streaks that have stained her cheeks away with my thumb.

I like how she called the apartment home. Now that I've set my mind on kicking Andrew out, I'd love nothing more than to have her move in. She can of course sleep with me, so I'll turn Andrew's room into something else. Maybe a makeup room for her or even a closet. Whatever she wants.

I carry the boxes out to my car and slide them into the backseat. Once we get home, I'm dropping her off and then I'm going to find Alyssa's ass. She's completely fucking delusion if she thinks I'll let her get away with this.

As soon as we get to the apartment, I carry the boxes inside.

"I'll be back." I tell Madison. She's sitting on the couch with a blanket. I'd love to stop and cuddle with her, but I can't let this go. If I do, then it will happen again. Who knows what Alana will destroy next?

"Where are you going?" I knew she'd ask that.

"To take care of something. I'll be back." I walk over and place a tender kiss on her forehead. Her hazel eyes beam up at me and it takes everything in me to pull away.

"To take care of what?" She asks.

"Nothing you need to worry about." I tell her and head out the door before she can say or ask anything else.

The whole drive to Alyssa's apartment I clench the steering wheel. I'd never hit a woman, but Jesus, she makes me question myself sometimes.

Her apartment is a nice, not as good as mine, but nice. Both her parents work in the medical field and pay for everything she ones. Must be nice. She doesn't have to worry about a car payment, insurance, a phone bill, tuition, or rent. I guess in an attempt to not over do it, they didn't rent out the best apartment in the area. And thank God for that because I'd hate having Alyssa as a neighbor.

I spot her car immediately and the adrenaline starts flowing through my veins. My body feels jittery as a I ride in the elevator, up to her floor. The elevator ride feels like the longest thirty seconds of my life, but as soon as the doors open, I'm marching down the hall to her apartment.

I have the key ready when I reach her door and I waste no time opening the wooden barrier between us. She looks shocked at first, but relaxes when she realizes it's me. She shouldn't. I'm so mad right now the devil couldn't even stand me.

I immediately notice how blank her apartment is. The T.V. and leather recliner are missing from the living room, the kitchen lacks a fridge or microwave. Even her expensive ass juicer is gone.

"I didn't know you were coming by. You should've called. Oh, wait. I'm blocked." She taunts. Her blonde hair pulled up, but even so I can tell it's greasy. She looks skinny, too skinny, and I know what from.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I snap. I slam the door shut and she flinches.

"What's wrong with me?" She laughs. "What's wrong with you? You get me addicted to this shit," She holds up a small bag of white powder and shakes it around. "And then you cut me off high and dry just because you met some new whore to ruin."
