KAIDEN
I WAKE up with Madison laying on top of me. Marcos basically demanded that we stay the night in one of his luxurious bedrooms. I used to like staying here, but last night I wanted nothing more than to leave and get Madison out of here.
I knew what I was doing when I brought Madison here, but now that's it's all unfolded, I kind of regret it. This lifestyle is one that Madison should never get involved with, and that's exactly why I brought her into it. I know myself. I know I'll never change.
It's easy to make a good girl go bad, but it's hard to make a bad boy go good. If I bring her to the dark side with me, I know she'll never want to return to the light.
I was selfish thinking Marcos would take it easy on her. I didn't think he would be quick to blow his cover.
I can't help but be attracted to Madison. Maybe it was Andrew telling me to stay away from her. I've always wanted things I couldn't have. Or maybe it's that she's so innocent. Watching her lose control is my favorite thing, like when we smoked together for the first time.
I run my hands through her dark hair that's full of tangles. I'm scared for what will happen when she wakes up. I know she's going to tell me off and demand I take her home. I won't blame her. She looked scared shitless when Marcos made her snort the cocaine. Her tolerance was low considering it was her first time ever using and she damn near almost passed out. It freaked the fuck out of me. Even though I want her to be apart of this life, I won't make the same mistakes I made with Alyssa. I let her do the drugs Marcos supplied and eventually that's all she wanted. It was sickening watching how fast she changed. I won't let that happen to Madison.
When she groans and rolls over onto her back, my breath hitches in my throat. I'd like to say I'm someone who doesn't scare easily, but I'm scared right now. Who knows what she's going to say to me.
Her hazel eyes flutter open and she looks around the room. When her eyes finally land on me, her eyebrows scrunch together. "Where are we?"
I swallow and take a deep breath. "Marcos's. He suggested we stay the night."
Within seconds, her palm connects with the side of my face. The smack echoes through the room and she tosses the covers off of her. The side of my face that she smacked burns and instantly fills with heat.
"I deserved that." I mumble as she grabs her boots and tries to slip them on as quickly as she possibly can. I don't move to stop her because I know there's nowhere she can go. I'm the only one who can take her home and I know she wouldn't even consider asking anyone else to give her a ride. Marcos would kill her if she dared to order an Uber to come to his house.
"You're fucking right you did, asshole! How could you bring me here?" She practically shouts. I sit up from the bed and let the covers bunch around my waist. For a second I see her eyes skim over my bare chest.
"Shh! Be quiet!" I hiss and cup her mouth with my hand. The last thing I want is Marcos getting pissed that she woke him up. Or Rafael.
She bites my hand and I jerk it away. "Ow! Fuck!"
"Don't tell me what to do! You're fucking crazy, Kaiden! I don't want to speak to you ever again." She screams louder this time.
