Kaiden and Madison's new bedroom in the media.

MADISON

KAIDEN was right when he said I would love our new apartment. I liked our old one, but in this one, it's truly ours and there's no old memories. It's a chance to start over. Plus, our bedroom has big open windows that take up most of the wall. The city looks gorgeous at night.

The living room is carpeted, like our old apartment. Kaiden just brought the couch and recliner over from it. He also brought the small ass kitchen table and T.V. He basically brought everything from our old apartment except for Andrew's stuff. He told me he texted Andrew and told him he needed to come get his things, but who knows if he really did.

I end up buying a maroon rug and some maroon decorative pillows to compliment the gray theme in the living room. I stop by Bath & Body Works and pick up a couple candles to burn as well. I also order some LED lights on Amazon for our bedroom. I felt like a permanent guest in the old apartment, but here I actually feel like it's part mine. Especially since Kaiden kind of asked me to be his girlfriend.

"Imagine if Kaiden fucked you against the windows, like that scene in that movie. That would be hot." Kassie looks out the window. She's literally my next door neighbor now.

"Jesus, Kassie." I chastise and continue painting my toenails. I really should get a pedicure, but my budget won't allow it since I quit my job at the restaurant.

"What? Don't tell me you haven't thought about it." She picks up my bra that I've thrown in the corner of the room. "Did you wear this for Kaiden?"

"No, that's my temporary dirty clothes pile until I can get the bathroom set up." I shake my head. Half of the boxes are still not unpacked. They're just sitting in the living room.

"So, I'm guessing by now Kaiden has definitely used the Magnums on you." She sits down on the edge of the bed.

I look up at her, my mouth agape. "Do you ever stop?"

"Only when I'm sleeping." She laughs and flops back on the bed. "You should put a mirror up there. Imagine how fun that would be." She eyes the ceiling.

"Can I talk to you about something serious?" I put the cap back on my nail polish and put it on the nightstand.

"You're not pregnant, are you?" She sits up quickly. "Please tell me Kaiden did use the Magnums on you." The color is literally starting to drain from her face.

"Oh my God, no! I'm not pregnant!" I run a hand over my face. So much for a serious conversation.

"Then what is it?"

I take a deep breath. This would typically be a normal question, but with the business Kaiden and Cameron are in, it's technically not a normal question.

"Do you know if Cameron just works at the mechanic's shop?" I tread lightly. I don't want to give away any hints that I might know something she doesn't.

"Yeah, why? Is there something going on?" For once, Kassie's expression is completely serious, devoid of any smile or mischievous grin.

"Just wondering. Kaiden's just been working a lot more than usually lately and I thought Cameron might know something." I shrug my shoulders. That excuse sucked ass, but it's the only thing I could think of right off the top of my head.
