Well crap.

That was all I could think. Climbing all the way up there in 30 minutes was nearly impossible without our quirks. It was also the only thought of my classmates, as they all had looks of determination, fear, anger or disgust.

I started panicking when the first person made a move up the cliff. It was Shoji, whose mutation quirk 'tentacles' couldn't be entirely nullified by Mr Aizawa. All that would happen if our teacher tried to erase it would be that he couldn't change his tentacles into anything other than what they were right now (extra hands).

Crap! I'm gonna get left behind, I gotta do something.

I ran up to the wall and started searching for a path up. I couldn't use the one Shoji was making because it was too unsafe. His method of climbing was to ram his hands into the walls to make grips and then use all six to pull himself up a great distance to a ledge.

At least he won't be having problems.

I finally found a path up to the first ledge about 30m up.

"Ururaka! Follow me!" I shouted

She was over with Ashido and the other girls and turned around with a red face to look at me. I beckoned her over and she ran to follow me up the wall. This was met with a few giggles from the girls, who I noticed Tsuyu was missing from.

I was trying to find her when she climbed up right beside me, sticking to the wall with her quirk.

Damn mutation quirks.

She did give me an idea though. I remembered the instructions in the book on how that guy had trained with Hamon energy. He mentioned climbing a marble pillar coated in slippery oil by using Hamon to stick to the walls. Apparently it had taken days to get out.

I didn't have days. I had 30 minutes. But this wall was made of stone, not slippery marble.

"Come on Midoriya. Catch up." Said Tsuyu, shooting off up the wall like some sort of spider.

I called out to Ururaka.

"Sorry about this Ururaka, you're on your own."

I slowed my breathing, getting a good grip on my circulation. This called forth my Hamon energy to my body, crackling around like lightning. I imagined it flowing through my fingertips and feet, acting like suction cups to stick me to the wall. I tried putting my hand on the wall and pulling on it, it stood firm.

"Deku?" Asked Ururaka "are you okay?"

"Yeah. Just trying to figure something out."

I inhaled deeply.

Here goes nothing.

I moved my right hand from the hold and infused the fingertips with Hamon, then I placed it on the wall. Then I let go of the wall with my left hand.

I lost my grip and fell backwards. Luckily Ururaka put her hand beneath my right foot and held it up. I wobbled precariously 15m above the ground. Breathing a sigh of relief I moved my foot back to the rest.

Then I moved my left foot up and infused it with Hamon to stick it to the wall. Then I mirrored these actions with my left arm and right foot. This created a bizarre technique that allowed me to effectively climb the wall. It was much slower than Tsuyu, who had training with this stuff, and was extremely tiring for me.

So much in fact that I had to take a small break about 60m up on a ledge that fit my body on.

Mr Aizawa watched from the top of the cliff for any cheaters. He saw Tsuyu and Shoji rocket up with their mutant quirks that he couldn't completely nullify. That was expected of them though, he was more interested in the methods of the other students.
