(Accidently uploaded this chapter before it was finished so I'm going to upload it early alongside the one I was uploading today anyways)
My spirits were as high as they had ever been. I didn't come in today expecting to confess to Ururaka, much less the other way around too. I didn't pay attention to the time though and now I was sprinting full speed to the starting tunnel to my battle with Todoroki.
By the time I got out onto the field I was panting with the effort.
"And our next two fighters are the cold, yet striking Shoto Todoroki and the out of breath, yet stand-out student Izuku Midoriya!"
Crap! I'm out of breath! Hamon isn't a very viable option to me right now. If I want to use it I'll have to catch my breath but I don't think todoroki will give me the chance. He'll also know that my weakness is a lack of range and try to tire me out. My best bet on getting close to him is to stop time, pulling a muscle at this time is just too risky. I have to be conservative of my ability as well, I doubt he'll go down on the first try. He's too good to fall for that.
I was too busy muttering to realise the battle had already started. An icicle whizzed past me.
"Come on. Focus."
I summoned Star Platinum behind me, It would be absolutely key to my victory. I used It's legs to jump towards Todoroki.
He put up a massive ice wall about 20ft tall and at least a few meters thick. I pulled back Star Platinum's fist and punched the wall as hard as I could.
"ORA!"
It shattered and I ploughed through it at incredible speed, sliding quickly towards the edge of the arena on the ice that Todoroki had placed on the floor. I used Star Platinum's arm to ram it's hand into the floor and stop myself.
By the time I had finished Todoroki was on the other side of the arena, his right side frosting over slightly. He looked annoyed that his plan didn't work. I was annoyed he wasn't using his fire. Maybe it came from his father, but he needed to see that it was his.
I started walking slowly towards him. He shot an icicle at my shoulder and without flinching I used Star Platinum to grab it. I blocked several more on my approach and threw a few back at him. I was about 20ft away when the icicles stopped coming. Todoroki now had large chunks of Ice surrounding his right side.
"You're looking a bit cold Todoroki. You should warm up."
He just glared at me and raised his leg. When he slammed it down the equivalent of a fucking glacier of ice shot out from his foot and towards me.
"Star Platinum! The World!"

Time froze. I punched the hell out of his ice and jumped above it to behind him.
Time resumed.
Todoroki was in really bad shape now, his skin was turning blue and he was shaking. He fell to his knee.
"Your fire doesn't belong to your father Todoroki. I know he wants you to use it so he can satisfy himself and quite frankly he's an awful father. But you need to see your quirk for what it is. Yours. Can your father make ice like you? Can your father control your flames? No. He can't, so don't even try to argue."
Todoroki didn't respond, but I could tell by the way his fists were clenched that my words were getting through.
"Your quirk was made to be a strong one, stronger than your father, stronger than All Might. And you don't realise yet that it is. But it only is because of who holds it. It isn't the quirk that's strong. It's you. Now I need you to prove that to me by beating me here. Prove to me that your father is not you."
