(Never try writing on mobile with cold hands. You'll never tap the right letter on the keyboard.)

My alarm woke me up early on sunday so I could make myself presentable. Today I was meeting Ochaco's parents. It was far earlier than I wanted to be meeting them but that's what happens when you accidentally hold hands in front of live television.

I dressed in what I usually wear. Normal people clothing. There was no use in looking fancy now if I wasn't going to look fancy all the time when around Ochaco.

I made myself a hearty breakfast of several cereal bowls and was out before my mother could even wake. She knew my plans for the day so it was fine.

I walked the familiar path to Ochaco's house and admired the usual surroundings on the way. She always described her area as run-down and ugly but I always felt like it had a natural feel to it. Contrast with the more urban-esque area right next to it I suppose.

I stopped about 50ft from her house, around the corner she had pulled me the first time I came here. I pulled out my phone and messaged her.

Izuku- I'm here

Ochaco- Right. Your timing is pretty good actually. My father isn't in until the afternoon so all you'll have to deal with is my Mom.

Izuku- is that good?

Ochaco- It's certainly an advantage. He can be very strict and judgemental. He already doesn't like you. Thinks you're a tough guy putting on an act.

Izuku- I think I'm the exact opposite of that.

Ochaco- Correct. Don't make me call you Mr. Tough though

Izuku- Mean. Should I knock?

Ochaco- Yes

She had taken about five minutes to say yes there. I chuckled to myself as I imagined the work it took her to muster up the courage to say that.

Of course, I'm not one to talk. Knowing my nerves I'll be at that door for hours trying to muster it. At least it's not cold out.

I do wonder what she meant about her father. Maybe it had to do with the area they lived in or perhaps he was just protective. Either way, I'm sure he'll be one of the most intimidating threats looming on my mind that I've ever had.

Now I was stood at the door, scared to knock it and seal our relationship as valid.

"Ah well. I may as well. Star Platinum"

Star Platinum appeared behind me and knocked for me.

Coward

A few seconds later, Ochaco was at the door. Her bright smile calmed me down and I stepped inside.

Her house was certainly no mansion. She had told me before that they didn't have much money so I was expecting this. Still it gave a very comfortable feel, almost as if you'd lived their your entire life despite never once visiting.

It took me a while to notice Ururaka's nervous gaze on me. She was trying to read my expression as I looked at the place.

"It's not much but-"

"I like it. It feels cozy. I can feel the work that's been put into the walls. Each one has been gone over multiple times to make sure it was nice, even if it looked run-down at first. That means your mother is a very dedicated person, she wants you to live the best life possible. I also think it's probable that she's sacrificed a lot to get you here."

"That's quite an intricate analysis Mr. Midoriya." Said Ururaka's mother.

I jumped backwards and summoned Star Platinum on reflex.
