I opened my eyes with the warm bright sunshine lighting up the room. My head was still laying on Daniel's chest, right where I had left it before I drifted off to sleep. His skin was soft and smooth, not one imperfection on it. It was like he was perfect, and he was mine.
I began daydreaming of our forever and our life together, his chest raising my head up and down with his breathing.
I know he wanted to make out last night for a while, and as appealing as that had sounded to make me forget everything that had happened yesterday. But I couldn't. I was about to marry him, and I loved him more than anything, but I didn't want to do something I'd regret. I didn't want to rush anything, even if we were getting married soon. This week was going to be crazy busy with my lessons and the "engagement ball" or whatever you called it. I just wanted to relax while I could. I hope he understood.
I sat up and placed his head in my lap, then brushed his messy blonde hair with my fingers and his warm breath fell on my skin through the thin fabric of the nightgown.
"You awake?" He mumbled sleepily.
"Yes," I whispered smiling.
"Lets sleep a little more."
"Its getting late, we should get ready."
He groaned and got up, rolling out of bed. I sat up and stretched, sighing contentedly.
"I like that nightgown," He said heading into the bathroom.
"Thank you,"
"I thought you wouldn't wear nightgowns."
"That night...everything was just too much for me. I'm slowly growing to accept and understand everything." I replied chirpily.
"I know, I was just giving you a hard time," He said chuckling.
I rolled my eyes and went to the closet to pick out an outfit. I found a nice dress with pockets that was sleeveless and flared out at the waist, and cursed when I couldn't zip it.
"Here," Daniel said. I jumped, not expecting him out of nowhere.
"Still jumpy I see," he laughed as I felt his warm fingers brush against my skin as he zipped up the dress.
I gave him a look of annoyance and went to do my hair. I put it in a french twist then put on some mascara and He got dressed in a dress shirt and pants. I put on white pumps to match the light green dress.
As I was walking to head out the door, he wrapped his arms around my waist and brought me close, nuzzling my neck and kissing.
I grabbed his hands and turned to face him. "Let's go eat breakfast?" I suggested. He frowned and nodded. I opened the door and we walked out hand in hand.
"Can I ask you a question?" He asked suddenly.
"Of course," I replied.
"Am I being too much? Like moving too fast for you? Or do you just not like me...like that."
"Daniel, no," I said gently. "I think we are going a little fast, we're getting married soon, and this is still all a lot for me. I just don't want to be pressured into anything. I just wanted it to be relaxed before it got crazy hectic." I explained.
"I understand," he said slowly, kissing my forehead gently.
"Ready?" I asked with a smile.
"Ready when you are," he replied taking my hand.
We went and had a big breakfast that consisted of ham, fruits, juices, eggs, etc. It was very good, and I left full. The queen encouraged dance lessons, and I reluctantly agreed. I wasn't a big dancer, or one for it. Daniel said I would be good though, because I was light on my feet. Sam and Rachel were there too, Sam just as nervous as me.
