We got out of the car, Daniel supporting me as the heat overwhelmed me again. Sam was already there and talking to another guard. I squinted up at the large castle with lush green shrubbery and a lovely fountain. I could hear the crash if the distance waves on the beach, roaring like a lion.

Guards stood alert at the doors if the castle, dressed like Dad. I looked at them nervously and they bowed slowly. Daniel bowed his head and led me along as I gawked at them. The doors were opened for us and Daniel walked me into the cool castle.

"Sam!" A voice yelled.

A small woman cried, and Dad ran to her and picked her up swinging her around. He then set her down and kissed her passionately.

"I missed you so much." She whispered.

"I did too...I did too."

"Your majesties," she said bowing.

"It's nice to see you again Miss Rachel." Daniel said cheerfully.

"And this is the beautiful princess I assume causing the trouble?"

"I'm causing trouble?" I asked panicked.

"No, no. It was just a joke E." Daniel said pulling me closer. "Nervous." He mouthed. I felt myself get a little annoyed and I smacked his chest. "Ow," he said giving me a look.

"Well I see you too are fond of each other," Miss Rachel said smiling.

"I am very fond of my Daniel." I replied smiling up at him.

"Oh you are?" Daniel asked.

"Yes," I said kissing him.

I looked around, seeing the maids and footmen around freeze and stare down at us.

The foyer was polished and sparkling clean. There was a large decorative carpet that cushioned my heels from scrapping the tiles. The staircase and floor was made out of a gorgeous marble, as was the floor. The scent was amazing, comforting yet new and exotic, and my head buzzed with all the new scents filling my nose.

"Your majesty," a footmen greeted bowing. He was about as tall as Daniel but seemed much older. His faced had wrinkles etched and his hair was swiftly turning from blonde to gray. "the queen and king are waiting for you in the balcony by your father's office. They're basking in the sun on this cool day, you see."

"Of course." Daniel said nodding politely. He followed the short man and gently took me with him. I was finally able to walk without my legs shaking, but I was extremely lightheaded still.

"We'll be down here," Sam called, reassuring me a little. I didn't want him to leave yet. I needed him here. Daniel continued to walk us both down the hall, and I was soon covered in sweat and panting like a dog.

Sun was pouring through the windows, yet they were open. They let in a crisp breeze, and I could smell the scent of the salty waves crashing in on the beach a distance away.

We were led out to a stone balcony, with a wonderful view that took my breath away. The water was a bright turquoise, in the sand a bright cream color.

"Daniel! You're home!" An elderly woman shrieked taking hold of him, taking me instantly shrink away to the wall.

"If you weren't as old as you are now, you would be in so much trouble young man!" She growled scolding him.

"It was for good reason." Daniel replied, taking my hand and bringing me over.

"My, you grew up much prettier than I thought you would. You look so much like your mother," she said smiling at me.
