7 In The Evening

 Clad in a Black knee-length dress, Avni walked into the restaurant, where the so very desperate souls are waiting for her arrival. Heaving a long sigh seeing her, Maya made her way towards Avni while Avni checked her watch once to assure she wasn't late.

Frowning at Maya, Avni forwarded her hand while Maya received it with a small smile.

"You Here?" Avni asked though she already knew the answer to her question.

"Don't you know that you're going to hold the shares of my Dad's company?" Maya raised her brows and signaled her to take a seat.

"Really?" Avni questioned Maya, earning two gasps, in the meanwhile, they came across the audience; That is Maya Jai Singh's Darling Boyfriend; Neil Khanna.

Hearing another gasp, they turned their heads sideways to see the guy, clad in a white formal shirt with a pair of matching black pants, flashing his charming smile. Forwarding his hand towards Avni, he smiled

"Neil Khanna, Your merger" Clasping her hand to his she replied

"Yeah! I know" Taking a seat he gave a flying kiss to Maya who's glaring at her, which didn't go unnoticed by Avni.

"So, Mr. Jai Singh and Mr. Khanna are partners and you both are their only Heirs? Correct me if I'm wrong!" Saying Avni looked ahead to see them nodding their Heads.

"Yes Ms. Avni, you're right!" Neil gave a warm smile to Avni while she just nodded her head.

"I wonder, how come you didn't know about me before, I mean, you must have checked the background right?" Maya raised a question while giving a pen to Avni so that she could sign.

"You're right Maya! We did the background check, but I was busy at the time of that and my Manager was sure that it is the right one to merge with, so I agreed with him cause I trust him a lot!"

"Oh!" This is the only word that came out of Maya's mouth while Avni returned the pen to her.

"But I heard that Ms. Avni doesn't trust people that much easier, then how come you believed in the words of a mere manager?" Neil said frowning while Avni smirked seeing his frown.

"What you heard about me is absolutely right Mr. Khanna, but if I trust someone other than me in the world, then it is one and only My Parth, I mean my manager. He's not only my Manager but much more than that!"

"He gets into a fight so easily!" Neil replied while Avni frowned at him.

"Maybe he does, but he's so good at heart and anyways there's no need for me to explain about my Parth, cause I know him and you don't!" Saying Avni looked at the entrance only to see parth is coming towards them while a wide smile replaced her smirk.

"Paarthh" Moving towards him Avni squealed in joy seeing her friend after 3 long days. Hugging tight, they both moved towards the couple who flung open their mouths.

"Avni, you already signed?!" Parth asked taking a seat while eyeing at the Papers, to which Avni nodded her head.

"Why? You got to check the papers?" Neil raised his brows while Parth smirked. "Of course yes Khanna" Parth replied which irked Neil.

"Do you think we would change the papers and replace them with your Property papers and make you guys sign?" Neil shooted a question in anger while Maya rubbed her palm along his arm while Parth laughed seeing Neil.

"Avni, now look who's getting into fight easily? I told you, he's an angry bird and he would not accept it at any cost, and despite not agreeing he blames the others all the time" Saying parth chuckled while Avni asked him to shut up!

"Parth, don't get on his nerves" Turning towards Neil, "I agree that he's blunt and impulsive at times, but he's not intended to make you angry! Don't get upset, cause of him" Avni said in a calm tone while parth again intruded in-between

"Yeah yeah, of course, Only his girlfriend has the right to make him angry no!"

"Excuse me!" Maya was about to lash at him while Neil held her hand and nodded his head in a no.

"It's okay Avni! You'll be the Boos of that Office from tomorrow and we'll be colleagues, so it's okay and moreover, I've to tolerate him more from tomorrow so I'll get a habit of that!" glaring at parth, Neil smiled at Avni while both Maya and Parth were shocked at Neil's behavior!

Coming out of the restaurant, Maya asked for Avni's number "Avni, can I have your number?" Before Avni could answer, Parth came in between

"Tch... If you want Avni's number, then you can ask her directly, no! Why did you send your girlfriend for that?" Parth taunted Neil while Neil fisted his hand in anger.

" You're Avni's manager and that's why I'm tolerating you. If somebody was in your place na..." " He'd have been thrashed in Neil's hands!" Maya said coming in between.

"That's okay Neil, Anyways, you'd have to come to me at the end of the day. More than Maya, you need me. So, you also take my number." Avni suggested smirking while Maya and Neil were confused at her words.

"What are you looking at? I said it as a matter of a fact, cause we both have to work together. If it's about Maya, she can contact Parth, right and vice versa, but not in our case right!" Avni smiled at them while they both nodded their head. Exchanging each other's numbers, all of them moved from there.

"Finally Avi, we are one step ahead in our plan" Parth smile contentedly while Avni is in her own world.

Snapping his fingers in front of her eyes, he broke her trance while she looked at him confused "What are you thinking? Here, I'm talking to you about our success while you're in your own world!" Parth chided her while she let out a chuckle.

"Nothing Bittu, I'm just thinking what if dad comes to know about me? That his daughter is playing with someone's life though they wronged me! I'm Afraid" Avni let out her fear while parth clutched her hand

"Don't worry, he'll never know about this and if he came to know also, he would do the same you're doing, cause he is a father Avi, he knows the pain! And moreover, uncle won't wait for long as you did! Only one shot and they will be lying as corpses!"

"Neil is still the same! Angry bird, Hai na!" Avni said smiling while Parth heaved a sigh.

"At least there's one reason that makes you smile., Neil!" Parth teased and earned a smack from Avni. Scowling he rubbed his arm "Arrey, Avi, I'm just pulling your legs yaar, you know right!" He hugged her replying.

"Avi, do you think Maya truly loves Neil?" Parth questioned her after some minutes of silence...

"Don't know Bittu! Who knows? Maybe the father and daughter duo are playing games with Neil to trap him and his property. But, so far as I know Neil, he doesn't get trapped that much easier! But, Love makes everyone blind, right. Nothing is visible to them. Or else, They both really love each other?! Answers to all these questions will be found as the time passes."

"Do you think Neil remembers you?" Parth snapped to which Avni frowned.

"That makes no difference. Let it be! Now go and get some sleep. We have to handle too many people from tomorrow onwards." Saying Avni moved out of the balcony and entered her room.

Closing the door behind, she heard a ping from her mobile only to see it was Maya's message.

"Tomorrow's Neil's Birthday and I hope you don't mind coming to the party we are throwing and also we want to introduce you to our families... What say?" The message read while Avni smirked seeing the message.

"For sure, how can we deny your invitation?!" Avni replied and threw her phone on the bed. " Seems like it's the right time! I'll come to meet y'all, for sure." Avni thought to herself while sleep took over her while a New Day is waiting for her.
