It was decided that Charlotte would be leaving her family in late November and would spend the whole winter in London at Lady Susan's. Charlotte's parents were enthusiastic, even her father, because both of them were sure that it would help their daughter be happy again. Of course, they both hoped that she would find someone, a special someone, and finally settle down.

Charlotte, on the other hand, felt a lot of anxiety at the idea of leaving to London for such a long time, again. She also was worried about the capital, considering her last adventure in the city had been particularly unpleasant to her. However, she did start to gain more energy as time went by, and quickly, excitement took place in her mind.

She had started to wonder what would happen to her, over there, and who she would meet. She tried her best not to think about either Eliza Campion and Sidney Parker, and hide the thought of them in the back of her brain. She succeeded on most days.

She was slowly coming back to herself, smiling, laughing and talking more. There was always this particular pinch in her heart from time to time and she would zone out at certain moments, lost in her thoughts, but overall she was happier.

Charlotte convinced herself it was for the best. Maybe, after all, it was destiny that had separated the two them, simply because they did not belong together? It was a sad thought to have, but it was a necessity for her in order to keep going and fall, again, into this numbing sadness she had been for the last months.

She also felt ready to finally write to Georgianna. Quickly enough, the two girls were writing to each other every week. They would talk about lots of things, and sometimes, on rare occasions, they would speak of Sidney.  Georgianna was not holding him close to her heart these days. She stated more than once how Charlotte was entitled to be mad, and that Sidney Parker surely deserved to be faced by her burning anger if the two of them were to see each other in London.

Charlotte loved writing to Georgianna so much, that she ended up wishing either going back to Sanditon to be her or for her to come to London. Both were unrealistic options and would not happen, sadly. It didn't stop Georgianna to ask Sidney.

-"How come? What have I ever done to deserve from you so much anger, Sidney Parker? Am I not the one who's got so many reasons to hate you?She screamed in his face when he refused to talk about the possibility of them going to London.

-"You shall not go back to London, Georgiana, and that is final." He had told her before storming out.

-"But she'll be there!" She said with a complaint, hoping he would bite.

And bite, oh did he...

-"Who are you talking about?" Said Sidney as he came back in the room, his hands hiding behind his back, his eyes coldly fixed on Georgiana.

-"Charlotte has been invited by lady Susan to spent the winter in London," said his pupil with a sneering look. She knew what she was doing, and Sidney Parker knew it too. The question was whether or not he would bite on it and go with it.

For a quick moment, Georgiana felt the victory through her veins as his look seemed less cold. Sadly for her, he composed himself faster than she thought he could.

-"If you care so much about Miss Heywood, Georgiana, may I suggest a pen and a piece of paper?" He coldly stated while standing in front of her. His posture was big, and if Georgiana had been another girl, she would've felt intimidated, maybe even scared, by the stature of this man.

But Georgiana Lamb was not known for being easily scared, far from that.

- " Is that an advice you take yourself? Or do you simply never sent those letters, like the coward that you are? " she said before storming out of the room fast enough to not let him the time to react.
