Jeremy's P.O.V.
I walked into school, groaning and my face scrunched up in pain. I blame all this on David. That asshole had bet me to drink ten bottles of beer just for the heck of it and he bloody well knew that I would do anything for a dare. I should remind myself never to fall for any of David's tricks. Suddenly, my thoughts and constant flow of curse words were interrupted by the sound of piano being played. I walked a few steps back and saw a flow of red hair. Instantly, a smile started to form at the corner of my mouth.
Mia.
She was one of Karen's friends which equals to a whole lot of GOODNESS. I would rather date a nun but something about the way she looked and played willed me to look some more and listen. She played a familiar tune and started singing,
Dreams that's where I have to go,
To see your beautiful,
Face anymore I stare at a picture of you,
And listen to the radio,
Hope,
Hope there's a conversation,
We both admit we had it good,
But until then it's alienation,
I know that much is understood,
And I realize,
Her voice went into a higher tempo as she squeezed her eyes shut, her musician hands flowing past the piano keys professionally,
If you ask me,
How I'm doing,
I would say I'm doing just fine,
I would lie and say that you're not on my mind,
But I go out,
And I sit down, at a table set for two,
And finally I'm forced to face the truth,
No matter what I say,
I'm not over you,
Not over you,
Damn, Damn boy,
You do it well,
And I thought you were innocent,
Took this heart and put it through hell,
but still you're magnificent,
I, I'm a boomerang,
Doesn't matter how you throw me,
I turn around and I'm back in the game,
Even better than the old me,
She whispered the next lines in a soft rhythm,
But I'm not even close without you,
She went higher again and her eyes snapped open, her blue irises looked confident and strong,
If you ask me,
